Right now. I have my education, my career is over because I am retired, and I am doing anything and everything I want to do whenever I want to. Oh, I have my health, too, which is probably the most important thing.

This isn't a personal attack, but I think if your best time was High School, then you might have been missing out on something, like growing up. The people I used to go to HS with, who still think about those times as their best ever, have not achieved much in life.
no I did very well Marlo. But I had to fight just about everything and everybody to get that done. And it beat the living daylights out of me. In HS, I didnt have a care in the world. And was happy.

Yes, this! ^^^^ Had a time recently, in my life when I kept getting sick again and again and again when I have been healthy all my life....then BAM! Major illnesses. It didn't matter how much money I had, didn't matter that I had everything materialistic in my life I ever wanted. Money and life doesn't mean SHIT unless you are healthy.
Senior year of high school. Everything is downhill from there.

ReplyDeleteAt the time, it didn't seem so, but the mid 90s-early 2000s (pre-9/11) we're pretty calm and peaceful, looking back.
