Always a delicate balance when a fan becomes a stalker. This foreign born A list dual threat actor is about to get a restraining order against a super fan who has taken it to a stalking level. The problem is she is very popular with many of his fans and there could be some backlash.

ReplyDeleteI'm trhing to think of who else has a super fan who is, in turn, really popular with other fans. I can think of plenty of people who have super fans, but few who have fans that are almost celebrities themselves...really only the z list YouTubers come to mind.
Get the restraining order, better a backlash than a tragic ending.

ReplyDeleteOh these superfans are scary. I'm 57. Never heard of this phenom until I started watching OUTLANDER and followed them on SM. Well there are 3 groups of fans who are at war and harass each other and friends/fam of crew/cast. Gay men fight the group who want Sam/Cait to be together who fight the Sam/Girlfriend group. Unpleasant. Nuts.
ReplyDeleteYo, Don't comment what you don't know. Crazy HK fan bought 16 photo shoots at London con. Same fan followed him to every Premiere for Doctor Strange. Dislike Gator or whoever but I don't think they've ever met the man. And one of the other so-called good fans drank out of his champagne glass and was "going to take it home to clone him" her words. I'd look at those crazies first.

ReplyDeleteNot yet, I'm not! I don't care if they are gay, straight, married etc. I don't comment on the blogs or whatever they are. Jamie & Claire...if only there were lovers like them...yes. I fan out on the books & tv show. Am very embarrassed by it. They do play their parts convincingly.

It's a fact that "famous" people can be very creepy too (there was a BI weeks ago about one celeb who tracked down the surrogate of another celeb, and used that surrogate to ride on their coat-tails because then their babies would be "siblings"—what the actual FUCK). ???
ReplyDeleteThey can do things that would otherwise be considered very, very creepy/disturbing if they weren't famous—but then be celebrated for it if they do it in front of cameras. But, then again, why are we so shocked that a celebrity would get away with actual stalking just because they're famous when we've all seen for ourselves what assholes like Roman Polanski can get away with...
There are plenty of rabid, possessive cumberbitch fans who fit the bill. Two in particular are mentioned below indirectly. The cumberbitches always point fingers at others, such as the "skeptic" fan known as Gator, who is very clearly not one of the crowd who follows him around from expensive event to event, buying tickets and merchandise, and adoring him. They are scary. Will say or do anything for their cumberlord, who very clearly shows he could not give less of a damn about them - other than to take their money. Would not be surprised to learn he's getting restraining orders.

ReplyDeleteIt's an old blind from 2013 possibly about Dornan and his wife and it has thousands of comments on it because the Damies use it as their personal gossip forum. Everything they post there is just crazy tinhat conspiracy stuff and piles of outright lies. They claim to have sources and people in the know, but they have nothing at all.
ReplyDeleteIts not Gatorfish. The Cumberbatch people know everything about her and they know she is all hot air and lies and she rarely leaves her home state. She also doesn't comment here so whoever wrote that comment is just pretending to be her. It's not the HK fan either. She is very well known to Team Batch, she's been thoroughly vetted, and no one is worried about her. And the champagne glass comment was a total joke, and she's no threat to anyone either. This might be a fake blind sent in by Aeltri or one of the others to rile up the Cumberbatch fandom ahead of LFCC, that crowd always gets antsy before his announced public appearances.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, if it's real, it could be Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, Jamie Dornan, David Tennant, Dan Radcliffe, Charlie Hunnam, or James McAvoy. All of them have well known fans in their groups who could cross the line at any time. Hasnt Enty referred to Cumberbatch as triple threat before because he's been nominated for stage, TV and movies?
