This A- list country singer has some kind of deal with country radio. The platinum record selling number one single having new record releasing soon singer and the media pretend he is straight and never talk about the men he dates or the boyfriends and it is amazing how both sides just like to live in a fantasy world.

ReplyDeleteEvery discussion topic is agreed upon by the media station and the performer's team as a condition of the performer's appearance. It's standard practice in all forms of entertainment. (You should know that, Enty. Being an entertainment lawyer, it's pretty standard in most contracts.). All performer's have image clauses and conditions. If radio/TV reporters do not adhere to them, then they get blacklisted by that performer's team, which will impact their access to other performers with the same management/label. And they can also be sued for defamation. That's why most DJs, reporters, red carpet hosts kiss ass rather than ask tough questions. And those who do ask tough questions, get them pre-approved so the performer has an answer prepared. It's Hollywood magic, ya'll.

ReplyDeleteWouldn't Chesney be higher than an A- though? He's a consistent big seller, huge amount of radio play, and usually plays stadiums when he tours.
ReplyDeleteWhat media that knows a closeted performer in any field doesn't pretend that performer is straight and ignores their sex life?. How is this news, what about all the gay actors with known beards, TayTay and others too numerous to name?

ReplyDeleteSeriously??? He's gay now too??? I thought he was straight, because after seeing Zellweger in Jerry Maquire, he fell so in love with her, he was inspired to right that song with "You had me at Hello." Then he pursued her and married her. Then he hit her and divorced...but whatever. He wrote a song for her prior to all that.
