I suppose I can understand the ladies' lust for Tony Bourdain - he's a magnetic charmer and blast. I can see their attraction to him anyway. But yeah - I kinda see chefs in the same category as magicians. Do they have groupies too? I see why Nigella Lawson or Gaida D. would have admirers but do guys fantasize about Rachel Ray? Wonder what ever happened to that Criss Angel mindfreak shit. Maybe he turned himself into Gordon Ramsay?

Delete@Himmmm..... I disagree about the chaos as magicians. Having spent enough time around magicians (and can't remember how many times I've been at the Magic Castle) and now spending more time in restaurants
ReplyDeleteand kitchens, I can honestly say that chefs are much.... ummmm.... trampier. Professionally friendly and adept around food makes them just more attractive. There is something about magic that attracts the geekier sort, and the millionth time a pack of cards come out of a pocket gets a bit..... tired? Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed hanging out listening to magic gossip (too obscure for CDaN) and can still tell by the snap of the cards if someone is on point, but it's nothing compared to what good food can do for one's mood.
