Charlie Rose Suspended

Longtime TV host Charlie Rose has been accused of making non-consensual sexual advances towards eight women.

According to The Washington Post, the women, who were employees or aspired to work for Rose at the "Charlie Rose" show from the late 1990s to as recently as 2011, ranged in age from 21 to 37 at the time they were sexually harassed by the "CBS This Morning" co-host. They alleged that the TV host made lewd phone calls, walked around naked in their presence as well as groped their breasts, buttocks or genital areas.

Five of the eight women went anonymous out of fear of Rose's stature in the industry. Meanwhile, the other three women are Rose's former assistant Kyle Godfrey-Ryan, former "Charlie Rose" show coordinator Megan Creydt and former intern Reah Bravo.

Bravo claimed that Rose made sexual advances on her at his private estate in Bellport, New York, in a hotel suite as well as when they traveled in cars and by private plane. "He was a sexual predator, and I was his victim," she said.

Godfrey-Ryan said there were a dozen instances in which the host walked nude in front of her, adding that Rose allegedly called her and described his sexual fantasies. Meanwhile, Creydt alleged that Rose "put his hand on my mid thigh" while he drove his car through Manhattan with her sitting in the passenger seat. "I tensed up. I didn't move his hand off, but I pulled my legs to the other side of the car," Creydt opened up.

  2. Ah, another blowhard who loves to tell us all what's right and wrong. I was expecting it to be that he copped a feel here and there, quickly apologized for and forgotten because he's on the right team. This is much better.

  3. How on earth do men think this is normal behavior? In the real world, this gets you arrested. In show business and politics, it's business as usual.

  4. This is why they shouldnt hire women. If they were in the kitchen and nit in thr workplace, none of these guys would be losing their jobs. If you wanna clean up a neighborhood, do ya go after the drug dealers or the addicts?

  5. This actually surprises me quite a bit. My godmother grew up with CR's ex-wife. For over a decade my godmother has told me that CR is gay and that is what ended his marriage. It was very matter of fact. According to her, CR's long term relationship with girlfriend Amanda Paley (spelling?) was more of a beard situation, allegedly. AP was famous, high status, major connections and loads of cash. That helped open lots of doors for him.

    1. I completely believe your story but this is why I don’t believe personal anecdotes about famous people. Even if someone does know someone fairly well, their “knowledge” can still be faulty.

  6. Good, more sad old man trash being taken out. Well past due for a cleaning. Dreadful presenter anyway.

  7. The announcement Rose made in response to this was equally offensive. "I always felt I was pursuing shared feelings". So, Charlie, you just can't believe that women wouldn't want to be groped by you! "All of us, including me, are coming to a newer and deeper recognition of the pain caused by conduct". No, Charlie, the vast majority of us always recognized the pain. It is only pompous, self-entitled and self-centered jerks like you that didn't recognize it.

  8. "Five of the eight women went anonymous out of fear of Rose's stature in the industry. "

    Bye-bye status :)

You can be certain that "well respected" people were believed over their subordinates for a long, long time. Here's hoping that's over once and for all.

  9. I certainly DO NOT condone ny activity our current President may have engaged in, but am finding it hilarious that all these peeps who raged against his behavior last summer turn out to have been doing it themselves!

  11. Suspended pending investigation to fired in one day. Makes you think CBS had its ammunition to fire him and just waited for the story to hit. Shame on CBS for being complicit.

  12. He's no longer suspended by CBS. He just got fired.

  13. Dog Mom, that anecdote fits fine. It doesn't sound like he had sex with any of these women, and maybe that's not what he was after. Maybe he just liked being in their face, so to speak, making them tolerate things they didn't want to because he's Big TV Guy. That seems to be a common thread in these stories: men who could have had all the voluntary, legal sex they wanted just by asking (or at worst by paying for it), going out of their way to make it something wrong.

  14. I'm sick to my stomach because joe Biden is next to be exposed. Joe Biden is a predator with young girls and women he is next to fall. Tag on twitter :( Also when are we as a society going to talk about how closets can make ppl mentally and emotionally unwell ( over time). Overcompensating and acting "extra" hetero in public to hide the truth.

  15. This hysterical man shaming has to end, these harpies have gone too far and been given too much power. Isn't there a man out there brave enough to stand up for our gender and put these women in their place?

    1. Jon, the sad part is that for every one of em coming forward, there were probably 50 who had no issue w/ the same behavior and who knows how many broads are tryin to force the puss on guys to get what they want.

  16. Well, if these grown ass idiot men hadn't done what they did, and conducted themselves appropriately and professionally, then they wouldn't be getting fired and ruined.

Maybe the morons crying "git those wimmen!" oughtta think about that over their lonely Hungry Man dinners tonight.

  17. I imagine a Biden response to any allegations to be similar to the guy about to get hung in Hang Em High's speech about the perils of whiskey.

"You're now looking, for the last time, at the mortal body of Francis Elroy Duffy, born to John and Edna Duffy, good, God-fearing folk. Who raised me up to be a good man and a good Christian, and I was a good Christian, a good husband to my beloved wife, good father to my children, who I leave behind, hoping that they, and all you, will learn this here lesson which I leave you with. When you take the devil into your mouth, you're doomed! For he is lying there in wait for you inside that bottle of whiskey. Waiting for you to take him into your mouth. Waiting to get down into your guts where he can do his devil's work. Liquor is the most foul, evil thing in this here world. It destroyed good men like myself. It'll destroy you too. Beer is not much better - it's slower, cheaper. So take these words of advice. And remember, you heard them from a poor sinner, got no more cause to lie, 'cause he's going to meet his Maker. Now he's ready. Well that's all I've got to say."

And even if Biden gets destroyed, the Hillary cunt still aint got a chance at sniffin the White House next time around.

  18. How Creepy Uncle Joe Biden hasn't been exposed I don't know. He is pictured many times with his hands on young girls, and kissing and long hugging women who very clearly are uncomfortable. Shown many times as a joke on late night shows.

  19. With Biden I think it's because you look at a single picture and you think, "Well, yeah, that looks kinda peculiar, but it's one picture, could have just caught him at a strange angle." Then your sense of normalcy kicks in and you think, "We Americans couldn't have elected an actual creeper as Vice President. We'd know somehow and that wouldn't have happened. If this way really out there, his party wouldn't have picked him, and the other party wouldn't have stood by and watched his side win without screaming this to the heavens. It can't be what it looks like." Normalcy restored.

If you stand a couple dozen of the pictures up next to each other, then it's a little harder to deny what you're seeing. But almost no one did that before. None of the investigative journalists who work for the six corporations that control our media ever said, "Hey, look at this."
