This blind item should realistically have been written by a reporter. It is filled with names and facts and dates and documentation. I could post it myself as an article, but I have enough issues with this particular group bugging me on a daily basis. To make this work, I am going to number every person involved and at the end give a description of that person rather than during the blind itself.
#1 had an employee. Prior to her(#2) becoming #1's employee she dated a very very very close person (#3) to #1. The person at the time was way underage. Like, as in not driving underage. #2 was about a decade older. #2 raped #3 on an almost daily basis with the tacit permission of the parents of #3. They thought it was important to the development of #3. At some point, #2 decided to move on. The night she did so she went and had sex with #1. They continued to have sex even when #1 had a long term girlfriend (#4). It was during that period that #1 hired her as an employee.
At some point during the relationship between #1 and #4, he raped her. #2 knew about the rape. #2 also knew about another rape committed by #1. How? That particular victim (#5) was the best friend of #2. Oh, and #2 also knew about another rape committed by #1 because that victim (#6) came to #2 in confidence.
Of course #2 was still sleeping with #1 so she told him everything. AT some point, #5 filed a police report about the rape. At that point, #1 transferred all of his properties into a trust ( I have the paperwork and documentation but not going to name the name of the trust). The trustee of that trust was #2. When #5 made a deal, the trust was dissolved and everything went back into the name of #1.
#1 then rewarded #2 by giving her cash and property totaling about $1.5M. During this period, #2 was making life miserable for the victims and also having a child with #7.

Then along comes A, who X rapes. Followed by B, C, D, etc. All of whom are involved with Co$ and have to do as it says. Each tries to report it, first to Co$ and then to police. Co$ first puts each victim through hell with its weird abuses. Then gets others of its members to make lying statements to police to ruin the rape cases when victims still press charges.
X gets away with it. Again and again. So far.

#2 made life miserable for each of the victims during this period. she was also pregnant by another man, a b-list, mostly-movie actor (#7). we don't know how long this rapey time period went on, so no idea what year her baby may have been born or the financial settlement made.
as a thank you for her discretion and loyalty, masterson gave #2 about $1.5 million in cash and property.

I agree monteverde. Statutory is in front of rape for a reason. I think older people having sex with teens is indeed problematic, even if the teen is legal in many cases as there tends to be a disparity in the power dynamic. Not to mention the creepy factor ala James Wood, but teens and all of those raging hormones are sexual creatures regardless of the age of their partners and are horny ass hell in most cases.

ReplyDeletethat being said, if you've got 2 teens who are in love but both underage and consenting, neither should be labeled a rapist or sex offender for life. so it's tricky.
the laws were designed to protect kids, sometimes from themselves, not impose moral codes on them. in my town there was a case where a 15-yr-old foster daughter's bio mom found out that the foster dad was "raping" her daughter. he denied it, said it was consensual. the girl denied it, said it was consensual. the law found against the foster dad (who went to prison) because a child in one's care is not supposed to become your girlfriend, no matter how "mature" she is or how badly she "wants" it. grown men/parents/foster parents are supposed to know better and care more about a child's welfare than their own "fun".
being horny doesn't mean you're mature enough to deal with the emotional and/or physical impacts of having sex. many young men who were victimized by older people, while they thought it was great at the time, state later that it really messed them up. the sex urge (in all it's forms) truly doesn't HAVE to be acted on. if pedophiles would suppress their disgusting impulses this world would be a better place.
@ monteverde & Bubbles, rape comes in many forms and damages people in different ways. 2 teenagers having sex is very different from an adult having sex with a teenager. CA law actually differentiates b/w the 2. Your pre-frontal cortex is literally not fully formed until your early 20's, especially in males. This kid wasn't even old enough to drive, so this probably messed him up. Look at what happened to Corey Haim. He thought he was in love with Charlie Sheen. Also, you should read this interview with one of Kevin Spacey's victims. He thought it was consensual at the time & that they were in love, but when he realized he was being manipulated, it really messed him up.

ReplyDeleteIt's statutory rape and you clearly don't comprehend the point of it. Biologically speaking, no 13 year old has the thinking and decision making capabilities of an adult. You seem to be completely confused about who this law is for. Of course people are different and not all 13 year olds need this law to protect them because there are 13 year olds who are mature enough to know it's a bad idea for them to have sex right now and who would never under any circumstances go along with having sex with an adult. They're not who the law is for. But at 13, many kids are not mature enough to be relied on to make the adult like choice in that circumstance. Many of them think they're already an adult and know all about everything and like a 5 year who just doesn't get why they can't live on a diet of candy floss, are unable to realistically perceive, much less attend to their own well being.
Evidently, even the most precocious 13 year old is years away from actually having a biological capacity for adult thinking and decision making. A precocious 21 year old maybe, but not a 13 year old, nor a 16or 18 year old either.
To be blunt, any 13 year old who chooses to have sex with an adult is provably not mature enough to decide whether or not to have sex. No well adjusted adult thinks that's a good idea.
