Blind Item #3

Earlier this year, this one named permanent A list icon publicly offered to house displaced people. She made a very big deal about it. Apparently an organization got in touch with her people and said they had about a dozen families that could use help. The icon went radio silent on them and never helped anyone.

  4. I find it hard to believe, though, that she didn't back it up SOMEHOW...like with cash. I am surprised to hear this.

  10. And who doesn't love a two faced Fundie who loves the Lawd but hates people.

  13. Fundies give more to charities than non-fundies.

And it burns you like hot coals every time you are reminded.

Fundies give to their mega-churches and make their preachers rich...which is not charity by any stretch.

  15. All the homeless in Los Angeles is just sickening and here in San Diego. Stop giving millions to Kaballah and get your fat cat friends to buy those modular homes and help Americans.

  17. It's been in the teens and 20s here every night lately. There is one bridge that the cops have "allowed" the homeless to stay under rather than hustling them out like normal. Late at night you can drive by and see a scene out of some post-apocalyptic movie that isn't fun or filled with adventure. These people are pacing through the night, back and forth wearing numerous blankets, so they don't freeze to death.

    Any church letting them in?

    1. Cities have strict regulations about setting up shelters. I know in St Louis this has been an ongoing battle of religious groups wanting to open shelters in the downtown area and the city shutting them down or not allowing them. The city has opened a few cold weather relief centers this week but nothing ongoing to really help with the problem.

Plot has derailed yet another comment section with his OT BS. What a suprise! Why don't you take your partisan poison and f right off? Your comments would be appropriate if this blind had anything to do with two faced fundamentalists, but it doesn't.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Whoever this celebrity is, that is all kinds of wrong. Clearly made the statements for publicity, otherwise they could have donated or contacted a charity directly.

@SD Auntie, are you in San Diego? I've been reading about the Hep A epidemic down there, mostly amongst the homeless. Very sad.

Hold on there. I didn't bring hypocrisy into this discussion. That was someone else. Why not confront them?

Also, I post at Enty's pleasure. He hasn't blocked me, under any consecutive ID, since he opened this site. Otherwise, it's not exactly logical to make demands of others on an anonymous forum. It doesn't work.

  21. I always liked Cher and was following her on twitter for a while, but finally had to stop because of all her unhinged rants. It got to be too much. If this is true, it would be nice if it went public.

  22. Atheist's more generous? with money possibly, time, effort and attention? different matter. The most charitable people i've ever met are also deeply religious.

    ReplyDelete
  23. PLOT: That study you linked was adorable. And definitive.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The study was about children of believers, not believers, and had nothing to do with actual charity.

THIS is the science you are looking for.

Plot lies. He lies every time. If you see a comment from him and you can't tell which part is the lie, keep looking.

  25. Plot, STFU! You are the biggest buzzkill on a gossip blog, ffs! Take it to Huffpo with the other SJW virtue signallers or stay on topic. I wish capcha would come up with I am not an asshole because you would fail every single time!

  27. Well, in Cher's defense, she did say that because of Trump she can no longer afford her asthma medications. She blew all her cash on plastic surgery, wigs, and gowns. She most definitely can't afford to host a whole bunch of freeloaders on top of that.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'll send Cher an albuterol inhaler if she houses the families in need. Fair deal?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Can you please all just ignore plot? It's really not that hard. BayAreaGirl and just sayin' as well. You will never win, whether they're paid shills or not.

  30. Hey, to be fair, it isn't just Cher. When Benedict cumberbach was preaching after his Hamlet performances, he was urging everyone to fight the power and let all the refugees in. Finally someone asked him how many he was housing in his manse. The word is he thought about it and decided it was not a good idea. So it isn't just Cher who thinks that everone else should do something.

  35. It's gotta be Cher. She and her pal, Streep, are raging hypocrites.

I loved Cher when I was little, but that was the Cher of the Sonny and Cher show. After she and Sonny got divorced, she became odd, political and self-righteous.

There's no reason Cher and her chums can't house poor people. They are disconnected to the struggles of regular people, but love to act like they care. Funny how very little of their money ever seems to be given to sound charities that help those in need. Instead, people like Cher create foundations in their names that they claim will help the needy. Very few celebrity foundations help anyone other than the celebrity involved and those on the payroll.

  36. These hypocrites make me vomit. Clooney must be the first: first he talks about the fascism of walls - while building an enormous wall surrounding his estate in the British countryside, which breaks several local laws, then he doubles down and says that he will not live in Trumps' America, only to declare that after the Manchester attacks we had, he will piss off back to California, with his terrorist she-male. I guess he likes it again, and leaves us with his beloved muslims.
    Sickening.
