Blind Item #6

This foreign born superhero is sweating bullets that two of his exes are going to spill what they know about his sex life. He needs the superhero gig. He should also be worried about this A- list mostly movie actor from an acting family who wants to be a superhero and is talking smack about him behind the scenes because the A- lister thinks the superhero is the easiest to replace.

    1. Me neither ,but he seems to have endless ambition and is full of surprises.... can’t see it as Gylenhaal but who knows?

  4. I wouldn't buy a ticket to Franco as Superman.

  5. Cavill and À Jake Guyllenhal

  6. Probably Cavill. Must be in the minority, but I really liked him in "Man from U.N.C.L.E"

  7. Jaden Smith as the actor from an acting family. He wants to be Batman, but will settle for Superman. I know that's wrong, but I needed a break from guess the molester for a second.

  8. @Don Kieballs: Unless it's Spider-Man, and Jaden is shooting for a Mile Morales version. Isn't Donald Glover also after Spider-Man?

    1. No they already established Donald Glover as Miles Morales uncle in Spiderman Homecoming.

  10. Cavill. He may be a tool with little talent, but then Superman doesn't need a lot of acting skills, and nobody LOOKS the part better than him. Franco for S.? Only if they want to kill the franchise for good. That would be even worse than the Batfleck.

  11. @bowler_chick: Me too! :-)

  12. I like the Jake Gylenhaal guess...he's totally got the dark hair/blue eyes thing like Christopher Reeves did, and he can get pretty buff.

  13. Cavill/ Scott Eastwood?

    ReplyDelete
  14. What is Cavill's history he is trying to hide?

    ReplyDelete
  15. @N. Twinkie, Eastwood would make more sense. Maybe having 2nd billing on Pacific Rim elevates him to A-?

  16. off topic but i personally would like to see will reeves in the role.

  17. I do not want to live in a world where cheese-dick Scott Eastwood is considered "A-".

Henry Cavill/Franco (rumored to be feuding with Cavill)

  18. Cavill is gay as they come and Gyllenhal would be a good replacement

  19. Donald Glover is also not from an acting family and I don't see anyone telling him no after the year he's had.

  20. Cavill is a s*** superman. Even brandon routh was better than him. He lacks the charm that reeves or cain or even welling had.

  21. James Franco or Jake Gyne-lotrimin as SUPERMAN???!? As if Batfleck wasn’t bad enough.

Sweet baby Jesus, either would be the final nail in the coffin for the DCCU...and would make Superman III & IV look like Godfather 1 & 2

Now special-man, I could definitely see either playing:

  22. Franco as a super hero. Nope. It's ridiculous to even comprehend. He could play some evil villain for sure, but hero? superhero? no. just no.

  23. Superhero:
    Benedict Cumberbatch
    Chris Hemsworth
    Henry Cavill
    Jason Momoa
    Paul Bettany
    Ryan Reynolds

  24. James Franco is supposed to be Multiple Man in the Xmen franchise. And no way he'd every get the Superman role. Maybe Bizarro Superman. Maybe he's doing this to fuvk with Cavills head? They did a movie together way back when. He said Cavill was desperate for the Superman role Routh got.

  25. I don't think it's "Superman" who is the replaceable superhero - it's been publicly discussed that Gyllenhaal may replace Affleck as Batman, and Cavill might be nervous about an A-lister getting more screen time.

  26. Jake Gyllenhaal has expressed interest in taking over Batman from Ben Affleck. Not sure if it fits this blind though as Affleck is the one who has been indicating he wants to leave the role

    ReplyDelete
  27. Affleck and Gyllenhaal??

Having said that, Henry Cavill does look like a bit of a scumbag.

  28. @Rafael: NOT Benedict. He is already married and if there were "exes" LOGICALLY wouldn't they have come forward when he announced his engagement. Besides, Enty didn't say "foreign-born quadruple-threat yada-yada".

  29. Cavill, of course and DAVE Franco. He is #16 on IMDB list of actors who could play superman.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Jeffrey Dean Morgan? He has said he wants Batman.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Affleck isn't foreign born. JD Morgan WILL be playing Batman in Flashpoint (if it gets made.) In the comics, Flashpoint features Bruce Wayne's father as Batman...a role Morgan has already established in the DCU in Batman vs Superman.

Cavill is the most logical as being currently the most easily replaced superhero. There is talk of a major overhaul at Warners and their superhero universe, and Superman would be the highest profile weak link.

Someone earlier mentioned a very interesting choice...Canadian Ryan Reynolds. He's got two brand-name heroes under his belt - Deadpool and a Green Lantern. While there is no chance he'd be replaced as Deadpool, he will no doubtedly be replaced as Green Lantern. The line that he 'needs the superhero gig' rings accurate. His non-comics movies have definitely underperformed and his last real hit was 2008's The Proposal. He comes across as being sexually...odd. In fact, the twisted sex scenes in Deadpool seem to have come from a very personal place. He's got some high-profile ex's who may certainly spill. Interesting, dark horse choice.
