This celebrity offspring/host/wannabe model/frequent yachter was at a party with an NBA team last night. Several guys showed interest, but she said she was only interested in guys who had $10K in cash for her time last night. Apparently one member of the team had the money.

ReplyDeleteI think this term originally referred to compensated companions on Riviera yachts, but now it's indeed just a euphemism. No actual boats required :)
ReplyDeleteOriginally the term 'yachting' came about 30 or more years ago when prostitution was illegal in many countries,still is in many especially in the Middle East so the big spenders took a bunch or women/ girls/men/boys out to sea past the 12mile limit to indulge their qwirks without risk of the authorities pouncing on them.
ReplyDeleteGradually it has come to mean Celebs/models/actors etc selling themselves for mega bucks.
Enty posted a list of 'yachters' and their fees a while back but I'm not sure how to access the old blinds some older CDaners hands might be able to help you out, apparently there is a middle guy who acts as their broker and he publishes a catalogue of each summers willing flesh. Big bucks to be had from fat old men in The Middle East and Asia who want to bone (and lord knows what else) a celbrity, bragging rights I guess.

Or they get an endorsement fee for promoting a little known product, eg a milkshake bar with only two stores, one in LA and one in Dubai. Might be called Milksheik.
