Blind Items Revealed #4 - Mr. X

October 17, 2017

Elle Magazine Party

Everyone was waiting for the altercation between those former bffs: that A+ list actress and Oscar winner/nominee and that B-list actress and celeb spawn.. No catfighting happened, but they did shoot daggers at each other the whole night. It probably stems from when the celeb spawn, at an event a few years ago, called out her former friend for sleeping with and sending those pictures to you know who and playing the victim card. The Oscar winner did get plastered after she accepted her award last night... hmm I wonder why?

Jennifer Lawrence/Riley Keough/Harvey Weinstein

  2. I hope this gets out about JLaw. She always plays the victim card.
Sorry @Sandybrook, I know how much you like her.

  4. Oh JLaw, all’s fair when it comes to climbing the career ladder, right? So what if you have to willingly sell out, sell your soul and let Jabba pork you if it lets you skip way ahead and bypass a whole lot of rungs on the way up. Bonus for subsequently playing the victim too when it all breaks wide open.

Unfortunately you lacked the intestinal fortitude aka character to (A) say hell no and (B) reveal him long ago/warn others. You were however not alone in this regard.

Edit: say, not day. Lord, I hate typos.

  5. It's ok Sunspirit,I think some of her bad rep is slowly leaking out. I think I read somewhere other than here or DListed that is was rumored she slept with Weinstein for a role and of course Joan Rivers straight up said she did.

  6. The hacker would know whose number the photos went to.

  7. I'm just wondering why the hackers don't expose this info considering the nature of their crime, they could make it much worse by confirming the recipients.

  8. That explains an awful lot about Jennifer Lawrence's stupefying career.

Jennifer Lawrence is sooo boring and obviously not very intelligent. You don't have to look very far to explain her career.

  10. This DOES explain her success. Which I never understood. How many others? All of them? Renee? Uma? I wonder.

  11. i cant imagine how it must feel being her in this climate... chills... basically anyone who skyrocketed in Harveys world... I wonder if thats why Uma seems so messed up... what Uma must know... Even just the filming of Pulp Fiction eeek

  12. Lawrence is just another hole. Like Amy Adams, one facial expression.

  13. This is what "selling your soul to the devil" is in real life.

Whoever wrote this blind .... I appreciate the title Mr. X - X-men, misdirects, miss-directs. My brain is a mess today, but I love the wordplay used so much on CDaN.

  15. It's nauseating to see JLaw be able to take this sanctimonious grandstanding postion and make herself a loud voice calling for change in post-Harvey Hollywood, when everyone knows she was a willing and enthusiastic Harvey conquest, a true Harvey girl....and no one calls her out for her hypocrisy and opportunism. She and Alicia Vikander both utilized the casting couch system to get ahead, and won Oscars as a result. At least Alicia isn't trying to utilize the scandal for personal gain now that the cards have fallen. JLaw is insufferable...

  16. Too busy listening to Leslie Odom, Jr's. Simply Christmas CD to comment today.
Move over Bing, Nat and Johnny. There's a new star in town!!! You MUST get this incredible CD! When he sings it's like the Angels have come down from Heaven to serenade you, personally! What a joy!

  17. Lawrence played their game and willingly hoed her way to the top. The annoying thing is, she won't stop bitching and whining about the hacked photos as if she's some sort of victim.

  18. Can we blame women for playing the game when men set the rules?

    1. Yes and no. Agree the system is so seriously flawed and I hope recent revolutions will create actual change in the gender/power imbalance in hwood. That said, she made a choice. A choice a lot of other women wouldn't have and didn't make. It's not a matter of blame, more one of accountability. Him being an asshole doesn't means she's incapable of making a decision and owning it.

    2. @lizoz very true.
The huge influence U.S. patriarchal society plays cannot be emphasized enough: when 90%+ of all characters in literature, etc that aren't supposed to require a sex is "he", well, that's a pretty big influence in life.
I agree accountability is extremely important as well and should be recognized in some capacity.
How to balance the two consistently is another issue. :)

    3. Yea the balance is the hard part...meanwhile someone's publicist is trying to make jlaw/bpitt rumors happen. Wonder if that means some of this is coming to light and they're getting on the front foot to divert attention 🤔

  21. To everyone blaming the actresses for taking the casting couch path: have you ever thought about the personal cost of such a choice? The more likely to agree to such a deal are the ones already coming from a background of abuse. And all the Harveys in the world perfectly know that. Now, I don't say that JLaw isn't a b*tch, I say that no actress should have to face this choice, and that all this happens in a context that should be taken in consideration. We want to fight the system and the men who set it up, not the preys trapped in it. A b*tchy prey is still a prey.

  23. Look - for the ones that weren't actually forced into any situations (and we know there are plenty of those and it's abhorrent), there's always a choice. It's not like - either I send naked selfies to the creepy old dude or I'm on food stamps. Everyone chooses to play out the hand they're dealt. She's not a victim. She knew what she'd get if she played along. She knows she's not a good actress - this was her only way to be one of the top paid, highest awarded actress in the game. I don't know about her family circumstances but she's an adult and I have a hard time classifying her as prey, especially considering the group of women who actually are.

    1. I don't think she's necessarily a victim of Weinstein. It's an example of a society that values men much more than women.
We all make choices & she made hers as an adult & imo is accountable for them. At the same time it's important to note that choices are highly influenced by our society.
Imo it's more disturbing to live in a society that supports behavior like Weinstein's & what that says on a broader scale than texting nudes to get ahead.

    2. Agree but it's systemic and (forgive the economist in me) subject to market forces. As long as their are jlaws willing to text nudes / more, there will be harveys. Of course he's the evil dude to be brought down, and I'm not at all equating their wrongdoing, but there are women like her who will play the game to get ahead, and that can't be ignored. They do have a part in this "system."
