1979. Albany New York. I was like 7. My dad took me to see Star Trek TMP. I got sick right before the end so we watched the end from the lobby outside the doors. Then we walked back home with me on his shoulders.

  9. The father of my best friend growing up put a built-in swimming pool in their back yard, and of course it had to be bigger and better than everyone else's, even though they were no way rich. But it was and it was fantastic. Of all the things I miss, that's what I miss the most.

  12. After my lily my blue tic coonhound passed away suddenly, my hubby said let’s take a road trip somewhere I’ve always wanted to go.
When we arrived while waiting in the parking lot, a very nice couple pulled along side us. She handed me a seven week old blue tic and her name is Molly!!
That was one of my favorite recent memories. I love those cooners, as I call them.

  15. October 8, 1968. Cojimar, Cuba

The door to the small, humble home near Hemingway's estate opened, and through the door walked a tall, handsome, smiling man. I was 26. He was 42. We sat in the living room and talked for 8 hours until the Sun came up. Just me, his aide/interpreter and Fidel Castro. The apex of my entire life.

  16. I live so totally in the present (and being psychic, a fair bit in the future) that I have no fave memory. Everything good is about possibilities. Hadn't realised that until now.

  17. Mrs Meat, I wanted to attend Atlanta's Psychic Festival, but it was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

  18. I don't know if my favourite memory, but I like it.

When I got to meet my favourite band for the first time. I was at awesome festival, and out of 150000 people, I was picked by Rammstein's security guy, and I was taken backstage. LOL I felt SOOOO important and got to meet my biggest crush ever, so I was pretty happy that day.

  23. It's impossible to just pick one, Enty. You have to allow one favaourite memory per category. I love Rainy December, so all my memories for the season each year always warm my heart even if it's cold outside... 🗽👩🏻🚕🍂💛

  26. Scandi: How I ended up spending the night with El Comandante, but not in a fun way, is a book and a half. When I moved to London I was approached by a major book publisher to write it. They had heard my interviews on BBC News and read the two page story in an Irish newspaper about my time in Cuba. I got a Literary Agent immediately once I considered it. Wrote the book, literary agent read it, submitted it to the major publisher. Was called in for a meeting with the higher ups. They wanted it! Time is of the essence, they said. Let's get this puppy edited and out there!

There was just this LITTLE, TINY request: You have to add a chapter about your affair with Fidel. Huh?! What affair?! It won't sell without sex. And sex with Fidel Castro!? We'll sell a million copies! You'll be bigger than Jane Fonda! You'll be the toast of London. So I replied, "I'll be toast alright. No one will ever talk to me again!" Absolutely, positively refused to add that chapter because it never happened! That's why you never heard the story of how. It was never published. That said, the real story is a blockbuster!

  27. Sliding my finger into a chick's pristine 19y/o butthole, knowing that in a few minutes my pecker would be in there. I was literally weak in the knees w/ excitement.

  28. Boo, two things:

    1. I'm sure (even without the lies about an affair that never happened) there are plenty of people still interested in the Fidel tea;

    2. You are a person of admirable integrity.

  29. Scandi:

It isn't easy living a life of integrity, believe me. The other way is sooooo much easier and financially rewarding. Thank you.

You would have LOVED him. Of course I will get spears and arrows from the anti-Fidel crowd. He did this, he killed that, etc. I only know the man who literally saved my life. Literally. That's why the book was so important for me to write. After the publisher authenticated the story, they were still incredulous at the depth of his kindness and caring for a Young Democrat from Georgia who hated communism and went to Mass on Sunday. But he helped me anyway. I regret it wasn't published in some form. Just wasn't meant to be. I'm way too old now to write another one. Have forgotten so much over the years.
