Blind Item #3

This former A- list mostly television actress from a long running almost network show has had a lot of trouble getting work the past few years. She likes people to think she is the head of a movement and is being noble. She isn't. She is the same as all the rest. She ignores what is inconvenient to her brand is the first to try and make a buck off the situation. She just wants fame and money and if she has to sell out for some reality show, then so be it. She will say it is for the movement, but it is for her wallet.

    1. My first thought too but she seems highly committed to it and took a major risk it seemed... course nowadays nothing would surprise me:( I know she’s doing a documentary -maybe that’s what won’t meant by reality show?

  2. Rose is who came to mind, unfortunately.

  4. I thought Rose too, but the wording "inconvenient to her brand" doesn't sit right with that answer in my mind. That being said...not sure what the answer is.

  5. Has to be Rose, every time someone on twitter brings up the Victor Salva support she blocks them. She's never come out and disavowed him, even though she's had multiple opportunities to speak up now and condemn him and her support/choice to work with him in retrospect

  6. @Roxy's link confirms it, I guess.

  7. +1 Alyssa Milano.

  8. The only people that actually mean what they say, are the ones who aren't afraid to piss off all the right people. If you piss off Hollywood, the media and the political establishment, then you're actually part of a 'movement' you could call a resistance.

I kinda think Rose is doing that. Not very cleverly or elegantly, but still.

If you go with the flow with the establishment, media and entertainment, what and who the fuck are you actually resisting?
These turds are all sitting in a large room, celebrating themselves, the media is fawning over them, they buy politician for hundreds of millions, and in return these politicians turn a blind eye - and that's a 'resistance'?

That's why Trump's kinda the resistance, if you're looking for one.
He's flipping them all off, ALL of them, totally unafraid, unintimidated, he's pissing off all the right people, and while they are all scrambling to maintain their fake ass facades, and start jumping at each other's throats, ripping one another apart, when 5 minutes earlier they were licking each other, Trump's in bed with a Big Mac tweeting. Fucking brilliant.

  9. The sex tape that 'leaked' isn't helping build a case for her 'acting' either frankly.

  10. Yet another blind to discredit Rose, the drugs, betraying friends, ow because of a reality show. Of course she is doing it for money, people aren't lining up to hire her.

  11. Yep, definitely Rose McGowan. She has a book and a documentary coming out this month.

Rose McGowan: "Everyone who works with this man [Woody Allen] is has the permanent stain of complicity."

Anopensecret: "In 2011, after you starred in ROSEWOOD LANE, directed by convicted child rapist Victor Salva, you said "it’s not really my business. But he’s an incredibly sweet and gentle man."

Rose refuses to even acknowledge her support of Victor Salva, who performed oral sex on a 12 year old boy. It makes her seem like a coward rather than BRAVE. How anyone can respect this woman is beyond me. If she had a shred of dignity she would 1) apologize 2) humbly ask others not to make the same mistake she did.

  15. Rose just doesn't sit well with me. I can have sympathy for what she's been through and also think she is super shady. She is so confrontational with everyone and everything, even those trying to help the movement she claims to be behind. I think she liked her two minutes of being applauded for being so outspoken on twitter. Now she seems super arrogant-- #metoo is for everyone who has a story to tell, #rosearmy is for anyone who continues to tell Rose she is so brave and so much better than everyone else working for the #metoo movement

  18. I had this in late October. She was shopping a show that - she says and hopes - will do to Hollywood what Leah Remini has done to Scientology. Her first guest oughta be Victor Salva

  19. Sounds like Rose to me. An upcoming reality show, an autobiography, an album and a skincare line...

  23. She said she'd lay off Harvey Weinstein for $6 million.

She didn't get that before the NYT article came out, rendering her offer useless.

Not a hero, let's be honest.

  24. Rose has no brand, has not had much of a career to worry about selling out. She is a bull in a china shop when it comes to this issue, and not handling any of this well. But "selling out?" LOL

Trying to blame her for Victor Salva seems a stretch.

This blind is about Lena Dunham.

  25. Beware of blinds about Rose McGowan and Corey Feldman and anyone else calling out the Hollywood establishment. The establishment protects its own, in politics, entertainment, police, basically any industry.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sadly, this is Rose. I feel bad for what happened to her, but she just needs to admit that working with Victor Salva was a bad idea. Ellen Page apologized for working with Woody & that's been well-received. People make mistakes, but you have to own up it.

  29. "inconvenient to her brand" - I'm thinking fighting pedophilia doesn't do much for Rose "Not Really My Business" McGowan's brand. Hell, even acknowledging pedophilia is bad doesn't help her brand. It makes me wonder if she didn't pick up some bad habits in Italy that continue to this day.

Blood pressure is rising, so time to hang up on this site for the day.

  31. +1 @ Midsummer! I'm on the Reese train for this.

  32. Exactly Rose McGowan has a book coming out this month she took 100k in settlement from Harvey Weinstein. She wants publicity and is using this me too movement to get back into the spotlight. If McGowan cared about justice why take the 100k settlement from Harvey Weinstein? So tired of people acting like these actresses are all victims. Give me a break.

  33. Rose is damaged sadly. She kept hawking her book which says to me "She'll do anything for a buck". She is bitter and is not sought after anymore. She dodges Victor Salva questions. Why Rose? Protecting him? She is just as guilty as Weinstein in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Who in this industry is not damaged? Rose has never claimed to be perfect. She took settlement money, as apparently did a lot of other people, when the establishment was still protecting these abusers/molesters in a way that made it impossible to out them, much less effectively sue them. Now it's the fashion to out certain abusers and molesters (who are of diminishing use to the establishment), clear out the deadwood, but NOW would have been too late for Rose to bring a lawsuit against Weinstein. It certainly would have been too late for Corey Feldman to sue his molester(s). So I'm glad they collected what they could at the time and don't hold it against them.

  37. Plot, card carrying member of the echo chamber, cannot stand the free speech if it doesn't agree with its agenda. You're the one that brings the political spin to almost every post. If you don't like it, then you GTFOH. BoredAtWork, I love a button pusher and you are quite magnificent at it, as is the Count. Nobody should ever be complacent in their freedom. To paraphrase a quote that has been attributed to the great Winston Churchill 'Show me a young conservative and I will show you someone with no heart. Show me an old liberal and I will show you someone with no brain'. Oh, and don't bother responding, Plot, as I don't give a rat's ass.

  38. Rose McGowan, she is hypocrite and won't acknowledge her responsibility in working with, which means enabling Victor Salva in 2011 who is a convicted pedophile while in the same breath calling out people who work with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yep. Too bad the NYT and New Yorker rushed those articles out... she might have really cashed in and not have had to gone through the motions of pretending to care about all the other victims.

  40. Bored at work lover your comments. @ plot you are a freaking brainwashed moron, I wish you and all your want to be ignorant communists would get out of my country. So tried of your stupid uninformed comments. Please educate yourself before you speak.
Have to wonder how you can hate a man taking on Human Trafficking and pedophile rings so much. Really makes you look shady!
