Blind Item #5

This A+ list director/producer just found a new way to work with and audition children on a daily basis. We should all be worried.

    1. I know he has a revival of “Animaniacs” in the works -but it’s animated... unless they are using children for the V/O’s

If the rumors are true why hasn’t someone killed him already? No peace on earth for kiddie rapists.

  4. Spilberg would be a “permanent A+" or “A+++". It's someone else.

    2. My deepest apologies Derek/“Rafael”, I would have thought that someone who literally took RUDE to an alternative (highly chemically altered level), you would have thicker skin trying to re-emerge lol

    3. Entry has referred to him as A list in other blinds.

  5. Haven't heard from Singer in a bit, and he fits A+ director/producer... though if I was him I'd get my ass out of the country.

  6. So does Ron Howard but All his upcoming projects seem adult oriented... maybe him though

  7. This is Steven Spielberg and Animaniacs, +1 Tricia. Believe, people, believe.

  8. +1 Tricia, This just breaks my heart. Also looking at photos of Spielberg with Barrymore and O'Rourke from decades ago and it just makes me so sick.

  9. I am sorry, but if this is going to keep happening to children, this person NEEDS to be exposed.

  11. Spielberg is higher than A list. Singer maybe ....but he is likely in a drug fueled binge in hiding. Anything ever been said about Abrams>?

  14. Heather L, it breaks your heart that some anonymous Internet yahoo with an obsession throws out Spielberg's name?

What breaks MY heart is that people like you instantly believe this stuff just because some yokel on a message board posts it. Treating it as fact is sad.

The fact is, no one other than anonymous Internet commenters has ever accused Stephen Spielberg of anything even close to child abuse or pedophilia. No victims. No accusations. Nothing from anyone with any sort of credibility or connection to him.

Following the stuff on CDAN is a lot of fun, and factual stuff certainly gets disseminated here at times, but to get emotionally invested in this stuff (not to mention believing something just because a board regular posted it) is pretty silly.

Get some perspective. It's a gossip page with a heavy dose of conspiracy theory stuff and some factual content. Tricia is just another Internet person.

I have never mentioned SS in any blind guess RE: this subject EVER, as many have.. so get you’re facts straight or you exactly what you are sanctimoniously preaching against(per usual).
But than again, you also fervently defend and respect
Woody Allen to a-cringeworthy level if I recall?

  15. Interesting addition to the Spielberg is evil and everyone knows it ...

Patty Jenkins, the amazing director of the incredible Wonder Woman movie has only great things to say about him. If anyone would speak up, wouldn't it be her, especially considering she was snubbed with an all male best director category (including Spielberg for The Post)

"What a great honor it was to interview someone who has influenced me, and all of us, so much. And #WonderWoman in pa

    1. As much as I love Patty Jenkins, she doesn’t deserve a director nom for the mediocre WW IMO. There were other better options for female directors anyway.

  18. Wade, I'd rather be guilty of falsely naming someone who is notorious for this behavior than to be afraid to say anything and risk more children being hurt. Spielberg is at the heart of an international ring of pedophiles connected to the Dream Center church network, David Geffen, and far beyond. Where there's smoke there's fire, and if he's innocent, he's a big boy with big money and he'll be just fine in spite of anything we little people say.

So you don't need to defend him to us. Move along.

    3. Of course he did, and on even more depraved note-profited from them. I truly wonder how damaged one must be , to be more apt to defend the serially accused than the serially victimized... Astonishing and quite ,quite sad. They either have no conciensce— — or children of their own..................

  20. Oh boy, wading into the argument here -

    @ Wade

I get it, I really do and am often exacerbated by the knee jerk guesses on CDAN by people looking for thrills! Intrigue! Fulfill my Outrage Addiction! It mirrors the kind of "news" that the Russians and 4chan posted on FB and Twitter during our last election that people bought into hook, line and sinker because it thrilled them! We need to stop this. We need to back away from thrilling accusations as fact.

On the other hand, just sayin' has a good point. We can't effect Spielberg one way or another by noodling around in his story and connections here. He is extremely wealthy and powerful, beyond the reach of anyone here on this board. From my POV, talking about Spielberg isn't going to affect our laws or political system or destroy discourse in this country. I don't consider rumors about him to be damaging to our country.

Also, my personal POV about Spielberg is that he is a man-child. His movies with the most attention and warmth are about children, children who are fighting through the adult world often with absent fathers and idiot mothers (Spielberg seems to really hate mothers, IMHO, almost as much as Disney does.) The BI here that rang true to me, where many guessed Spielberg, is the director who asked children to answer questions about being sexually abused in their lives, in and out of character. It strikes me that Spielberg would like that background suggestion to be a part of the children characters in many of movies, that they suffered abuse, too. Think about the Lost Boys in Hook, the red coat girl in Schindler's List (which Spielberg introduced to the script all by himself), the younger kids in ET, Empire in the Sun, War of the Worlds which focused on another orphaned child having to depend on a stranger, a being (ET), that was good this time (as opposed to perhaps Spielberg's own experience with the bad stranger in his childhood?)

Spielberg and Michael Jackson strike me as extremely similar in their basic natures. Spielberg's films for adults are cold (and often truncate history or stories to the young adult level.) Spielberg's movies fixate on children as much as Jackson's Neverland did.

I don't think Spielberg is a pedophile, though, but he seems naturally ruthless to adults in his movies (especially mothers) while sort of allowing children to exist in an other-worldly realm of ethical purity, without sin if you will, untainted and perfect, which is really really strange.

    1. The red coat girl was in the original novel, although the book implies that she escaped. The striking image that may have been SS's contribution was when Schindler sees a pile of dead bodies being trucked away and seems to see the red blur if the girl under the canvas.

  21. Oops! Auto correct fuck up. Should be exasperated not exacerbated above.

  22. I don't know who this is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's Spielberg. Even if he's not pedo himself, he certainly knows everything about the abuse and allows it to happen. There are just so many kids in most of his movies..And They're all similar looking in my opinion and many of them developped substance abuse problems after starring in his movies. Something is really wrong.

  23. Oh, and mysterious Heather O'Rourke's death who was first abused around age 5-6 when she first appeared in Spielberg's movie Poltergeist.

  24. By the by, there was a story today on NPR. They were chatting with a lady from Hollywood Reporter discussing the Golden Globes. She was talking about how Kathleen Kennedy is starting a project to help create a change for Women in Hollywood to what extent they really didn't discuss. They were saying that actresses will be wearing black on the red carpets and a pin to bring awareness to what has been going on. I find this story very interesting bc the woman discussed how women are still having trouble coming forward with those who are "still in the chair" and that Harvey's career was sort of fading when this came to light. I think this story is very intriguing. It is very interesting that Mrs. Kennedy is heading up this project given who she works for and who she has worked for in the past.

I have no proof of anything regarding accusations that are being made about Speilberg and Lucas but it does make you wonder...

@Wade No one has to take anything here as facts. So, to have your heart broken over this is a waste of time. Let people dig, question, search for answers, and look behind the curtain. It is very important. We don't have to agree or put our stamp of a approval on anything. I hope that all is well with you and that you continue to be a part of the conversation but let us all have room to process and ponder.

@Tricia you keep doing you girl! #1 guesser and all about great spirit. You also stuck with CDAN when a lot of ran for the hills bc of that one troll that will not be named and the change of the site. Hugs
