AP got told to f**k off last night at an after party by this A list singer/wannabe actor wearing a Time's Up pin when she asked about his latest movie. AP then retorted that his remark was not really what the pin was supposed to represent.
Please be Amy Poehler and JT. I love her. Can't stand this dude anymore...managing to turn Biel into a sympathetic character. Now I almost like her bc of The Sinner. His music is dead to me.
So Amanda Peet asked Timberlae about his latest film and his response was "fuck off"? Then her response to that was that's not what the was supposed to represent? Does thisnmakes to anyone?
My take was that her comment/question was about working with woody (ie how is it working with a perv), he said eff off and she said that response was counter to the message of time’s up
they got greta gerwig deflecting the question on why she worked w.woody allen and her calling him her idol, it was pathetic, variety has a clip of it on their twitter.
but I was not happy that timberlake didnt get the same confrontation. I would be ok w/greta if she made a statement like ellen page did, expressing regret and realizing WHY it was wrong to call him her idol and work with him. I appreciate reflection and then the remorse of that. But ignoring and deflecting looks bad.
Still, Timberlake should have gotten smacked with it.
I wonder if Jessica Biel's business partner/longtime girlfriend was at the afterparties. Timberlake doesnt seem to get along with her all too...which makes sense, considering all the $$$ of his they probably spend to finance their kid-friendly businesses....its interesting, biel pinged for me for a while but I thought it just couldnt be true. Always trust your gaydar (unless its broken, then dont)
Baumbach and his then pregnant wife, Jennifer Jason Leigh, wrote the screenplay for Greenberg together. Baumbach directed Greta Gerwig in it as the romantic lead, and they hooked up while filming. Before she was about to give birth, Baumbach left Leigh for Gerwig. You know, maybe if Gerwig was younger I wouldnt side eye her due to the powerdynamic, but she was one year shy of 30 and knew how slimy that is. I remember Claire Danes and Billy Crudup did the same with Mary Louise Parker.
I think it takes two to tango in an affair, and both Baumbach/Gerwig are gross. But frankly Im more grossed out that she can't even openly renounce woody allen at an event all about standing up against predators. Just another poser.
