Lost in all of The Web stories and information that keeps coming out, is this little nugget. You have a former A-/B+ list mostly television actress who acted from the time she was a toddler until she got fired from a hit show. Why was she fired? Repeated heroin relapses and a definite f**k you attitude about anything to the producers and her fellow castmates on the show. She goes on to do what she has always wanted to do and that is make music. She fronts a band which is never going to have any hits but can sustain itself through live shows, especially those overseas where she is very popular. She is more popular overseas for her celebrity rather than her music, but hey, it sells tickets.
So, she and our now deceased rocker meet. This is at the same time he is married and also hooking up with randoms including that shady escort. He starts hooking up with this singer/actress who has not really gone cold turkey with drugs. Did she share? No one knows yet. It is really doubtful that she did not use in front of him considering they spent quite a bit of time together when her band opened for him and that they were hooking up more nights than not. Was she sent by someone to see if she could seduce him? Seduce him with herself or with drugs? She does seem to miss him and has changed lyrics of a song to refer to him. Interesting little twist/nugget to the whole thing going on.

ReplyDeleteOk, I posted and it disappeared again, while it said it was saved.Yes , Cornell and Momsen, like @lurky said, her band is very successful,and they aren't bad.Disappointed that you went with this direction, I thought there may be a story with the child abuse scandal that she was rumored to be a victim of.It is more believable than this. Her history of very young drug abuse and her precocious sexual behavior makes me think she would think of him as someone to trust,but of course ,stuff happens.

ReplyDeleteI thought Momsen as well, but The Pretty Reckless has had hit songs, and I actually like their music. They have played at my local Metal festival several times, the last being, last April, which was when I saw Soundgarden on 4/29. She had a great show as usual. BUT she is often high.

Anyone else remember that old blind about her getting tag-teamed in a hotel room while her mom was next door?

ReplyDeleteYes Pretty Reckless is near the top as far as current rock bands go right now. They headline mid sized arenas and smaller clubs and play big arenas on the undercards.

ReplyDelete???? Hell no.the bodyguard broke his ribs while they fought & he then hung CC while he was unconciuos, therefore leading to his deasth. But Kirsten did give CC his ativan & I'm sure he drugged his Gatorade to while Chris was on stage.

ReplyDeleteNot liking the tone of this. The Pretty Reckless are a successful band. Taylor Momson has always given off a vibe of being a very damaged girl. If anything I would imagine Chris Cornell would have looked out for her.

ReplyDeleteJohn the Savage, while the tox report came back negative for any major drugs, the implication was someone was messing w his dose. I think maybe taylor could have been used as a pawn though- as in hooking up w him and Vicky finding out he was mentally checked out of his marriage and planning to leave.. and, FYI, her band opened for them this last tour and played their last show in Detroit :(

ReplyDeleteChris and Vicky were already acrimoniously separated before his final tour. They were not a couple. They were devising divorce strategies since he found out just what she'd been doing with his charitable foundation.

ReplyDeleteI was at BFD in Dallas this past year and was unimpressed with their performance UNTIL they covered Like A Stone. She completely changed my mind about her. You could hear and feel the raw emotion she put into it. Gave me goosebumps and made me cry.
