Once again, this A+ list singer truly goes to the ends of the earth to keep her world sanitized as only she sees fit to distribute it to the masses. ReplyDeletea lot of songs about Karlie on Reputation. I listened to the album, curious to see what songs were potential radio songs (there really arent any strong ones and she has been languishing on the charts), and 1989 was a strong pop album.
ReplyDeleteBut I was pretty struck at how obvious some of the songs were about Karlie.
Dancing With Our Hands Tied is so blatantly about the making out filmed on the balcony of that concert where her 'rumored boyfriend' of The 1975 was playing. The song Gorgeous is about her, but less obvious, since she puts some lyric red herrings in their, making it sound like its about her British boyfriend but really, Karlie sometimes talks weird in a cutesy way, I've seen it in interviews.
man, it would be nice if she came out and karlie and her were an actual couple publicly. it'll never happen, but it would make me respect her, unlike now.
