Four For Friday - Someone Help Me

If you were just barely a teen and were on a film set a long way from home, things would be tough. If your boss, a permanent A+ lister sent away your minder every night so he could tuck you in, you too would still wake up screaming in the middle of the night two decades later. Such is the fate of this former child actress who was in one of the biggest movies of all time. She says it started one night when she was on set and the A+ lister said he wanted to go over a few lines with her that night after dinner. He came to her hotel room and sent away the person in charge of watching over her. From that night, for the next month, she was molested and assaulted and forced to do things she has never done since even with her new husband. The A+ lister took away her childhood and her teen years. He took away every happy memory she had prior to that date and made every day the worst. She has undergone years and years of therapy. She refuses to talk about the film to anyone because she breaks down in tears. She will never join in any tribute to the A+ lister because of what he did to her. When she needed to scream and shake in the movie, she had no problems with motivation. She would just think about the night before.

Harvey Weinstein too broke to pay first wife the $5 mil child support he owes her. Asked her to give him a year. Comment from reporter: He will end up paying out multi-millions to lawyers all over the world to help him fight all the rape allegations. The second wife, Georgina, did better this week. She got millions and property and...

    Working With Spielberg

“I have so many good memories. He brought so much fun to the experience for us as kids. He was so warm, energetic, and enthusiastic in his responses to us. When we would get a scene just right, he would jump out of his seat and run over and give Joey and I a big hug and say, ‘That was exactly what I wanted!’ Those moments really stick out to me now, after all those years. As an adult, it’s nice to look back and say, ‘That’s pretty great [that] I got the chance to work with this extraordinary group of people on this film.’ And I’ve still stayed in touch with Steven over the years.”

  13. I think it could be Ariana, but for The Lost World, filmed in many places including Hawaii, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. It was her last big movie and last time working with Steilberg

  21. I immediately thought Ariana/Spielberg as well, but her comments aren't adding up:

"It’s actually amazing to me that I haven’t gotten tired of talking about Jurassic Park yet, after all these years! I have so many memories, and it was a very rich experience. Out of 30 or 40 films I’ve been in, this one really is a standout, and there is so much to talk about."

  22. I guess Spielberg is the biggest permanent A+ lister, who is suspected to be a pedo, and who made some of the biggest movies of all time, and who was often making movies with kids and teenagers..

Ariana/Jurassic/Speilberg guess is the best one.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The Ariana quotes make it tougher but what other "biggest movies of all time" fit the bill?

    - Doesn't mention the job of the A-lister
    - Movie was filmed in foreign country most likely
    - Movie came out in the 90s
    - Victim was actress, "recently" married
    - Role involved screaming

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ariana talks a lot about the Jurassic Park films and speaks highly of Spielberg so I find it hard for me to think she fits the blind if the blind states she wants nothing to do with the A-Lister's tributes... But I still totally think the permanent A+ lister is Steven Spielberg.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Spider Rico, the clue doesn't match up. She does talk about the movie and give interviews. Here, from 2015: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz3HId5d0tc Also, was married in 2013. We're looking for someone recently married.

  26. @filmfanb - He's got so much money that he'll never see the inside of a jail cell, but if enough people come out with their stories it could definitely harm his career. Hopefully it would keep him away from kids in the very least.
    (Just my opinion, obviously)

  30. sandy! I was just quoting the headlines now on-line at NY Post.com. Miramax has been teetering on the edge for a long, long time here. I applied for an adm. asst. job there years ago. I really wanted to work there because of the films they were churning out. And the major actors, as well. After my interview, I got a confidential call from someone in the office who told me, "You definitely have all the skills and qualifications for the position. Uh...they will shred you to pieces before lunch! And, while I'm being honest, the company is barely holding on financially." I took another job at a more reputable company.

  32. I'm not sure it says the movie was two decades ago. It says she would still wake up screaming two decades later. That could mean it took that long for her to stop screaming, with therapy, but she could have improved to that point years ago. So I don't think it rules out longer ago, though I think 1990s is more likely.

Maybe Weinstein isn't broke, exactly, but having trouble accessing his funds for reasons he'd rather not state in public.

  33. The "someone help me" is a clue - I was trying to remember whether Lex says this in Jurassic Park or not.

  38. Ariana made a tv movie later where she played a teenage track star who was raped by her coach. I remember seeing it on Lifetime at one point and thinking, "oh I haven't seen her in so long." There are reasons why someone who had been through a real-life traumatic event like this would act in a similar role on tv (it's part of their healing to face it head-on, they don't want to give it any power of them anymore, or sadly, their parents made them take the role or they need to take the role for money), BUT. I just can't imagine that an actress who experienced what this person experienced and to this day describes it so harrowingly would re-live any aspect of that in a tv movie just a few years later.

So while some parts of the blind seem to fit her and Spielberg on Jurassic Park, her earlier quoted comments and this movie are making me doubt that.

    ReplyDelete
  39. A couple of comments. The blind mentions 'new husband'. Ariana Richards was married in 2013. I guess they could just be referring to when she got married at the time but if it means she just got married then 2013 isn't new. On the other hand just because there are quotes out there praising Spielberg it doesn't mean the blind is wrong about her joining in an tributes because chances are her publicist or agent may have given that quote to some reporter. I'm still having a hard time dealing with the Spielberg rumors. Speilberg??Really??:(

  40. Speaking of Christina Ricci - It was great seeing her on the latest ep of Match Game. She looks so different with her short blond hair, but she also looked healthy and happy. Same episode that Jane Krakowski said Chinese people eat dogs - I freaking love her, not because of that comment, just because she is so talented and doesn't mind mocking herself. 53. I agree, @Cail.

@texasrose - When I was looking Ariana/Spielberg up, she herself was saying those quotes in interviews, both in print and in person. The problem I mostly had was that she seems to talk A LOT about the movie, and all of her happy memories about it (see the quote I pasted in above), which really discredits what the Blind says about her refusing to talk about the movie and him taking away every happy memory she has of it.

NO WAY JUMANJI IS A PERMANENT A+ MOVIE. Its a B grade movie with a somewhat Cult following.

  90. @Boo: Stephen’s still working, I last saw him in the BBC version of War & Peace two years ago and Dickensian. I think he’s likely in some stuff coming out this year: I heard he’s in an upcoming film on the Great Famine, which in just the first sentence of its synopsis sounds like it’s going to be ahistorical nonsense.

Regarding the blind, I thought it referred to Interview as well, as I don’t think Kirsten really talks about it. It was YUUUUUUUGE back then.
Not sure who the A+ lister is. I don’t think Neil Jordan is that high up anymore, although he was in the 90s.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Anonymous2:04 PM

Eliza Dusku, no way. She's very outspoken and political, and True Lies was filmed in the continental US. She's also not married, yet.

Linda Blair, no way - too long ago, for The Exorcist to be her almost a teen movie.

The actress would be in her early 30's, recently married, and was in a big movie in the late 90's, that was filmed "far away", like offshore, or out of the country.

Natalie Portman would have been 13 in 1994 (born 1981). The movie she worked on that year was Leon: The Professional, directed by Luc Besson. Parts of the movie were filmed in Paris, the rest NYC, where she's from. This could have occurred in Paris. She had a speaking role in that film. It's not Star Wars, because she was 17 when filming that. The part that doesn't work is she married in 2010, and Leon wasn't one of the biggest movies of all time. So it's most likely not Portman.

Kirsten Dunst kinda fits. Right age, big movie, filmed in British Columbia, but is the director Joe Johnston A list? And, she's spoken very warmly about working with Robin, and said she'd definitely do a cameo for the reboot, doesn't sound like she's negative about Jumanji. She made Interview with a vampire at the same time, tho. Cant find any interviews she did talking about it, other than her first kiss being Brad Pitt. And she was treated for depression. Would Neil Jordan, the director of Interview, be someone having tributes done? And is Interview considered one of the biggest movies of all time?

    ReplyDelete
  92. @unknown

I said Natalie Portman because Enty said: " Such is the fate of this former child actress who was in one of the biggest movies of all time."

Just throwing this out there - some "Top Film Lists" have Forrest Gump as one of the top films of all time.

Young Jenny, Hanna Hall, would have been 10 or eleven, "almost a teen".

    Director: Robert Zemeckis

She had to travel from CO to the South to film.

The only missing piece is I can't find out if she's married.

She needed saving in the movie, from her father.

    The Lion King (1994)

Not because of anything that happened to her when shooting. Also, she was 3 when the film was made, not 13. Also, she's not an actress and is not involved in the movie industry at all (only made 1 other movie 3 yrs after Schindler's List). There's no way you can make her and Spielberg fit ;)))

So this blind's got me thinking about this one from November:

    http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2017/11/todays-blind-items-long-time-coming.html?commentPage=2

Everyone assumed then it was SS/Richards. But I posted this comment in the threads

"So I've been giving this some thought, and we all seem to be stuck on making SS work. And while we can, if we do some gymnastics, there is another name that could work just as easily, and has the same connections: Chris Columbus

The old friend Enty hints at could very well be, as some people mentioned, Jeff Cohen, entertainment lawyer, who appeared in THE GOONIES, which Columbus wrote and could theoretically have been on set for. Michael Jackson certainly was:

    http://www.slashfilm.com/michael-jackson-the-goonies-set-videos/

The teenage girl with the younger costar could likely be Angela Goethels, who was 13 when she made Columbus's biggest hit -- HOME ALONE, which was HUUUUGE at the box office -- with her 10 year old costar Macauly Culkin. The sweaty B lister could very well be Daniel Stern or John Heard.

As for the first grader with the DVD? In 1999, Columbus made BICENTENNIAL MAN, (y'know, right after DVD came out was still pricey), which starred '90s "Pepsi Girl" Hallie Kate Eisenberg (and a whole host of other kids) who was all of 7 years old (first grade age) when she acted in the film.

in other words...all the pieces essentially fit, much better than SS.

As for Columbus being pemrnanent A+ list? ehh, he's seen better days, but then again when you've written and/or directed the number of classics he has (including GREMLINS, MRS DOUBTFIRE and the first HARRY POTTER) it earns you a lifetime pass."

It still could work. There were three thirteen year olds in Home Alone, which was one of the biggest films ever.

Maybe SS is a pedo, but maybe he isn't? Maybe he's damaged, regressed, drawn to children to mentally return to a safe place (if he was abused himself) and inadvertently surrounds himself with pedos who use him as a vessel to meet children?

    ReplyDelete
  129. I don't understand how Steven Spielberg became the number one guess for a pedo director. Who has any type of proof?

  130. No one ever mentions John Hughes for these molester blinds, who mostly made movies with teen actors, but always mentions Spielberg, who has relatively few movies featuring teens (as a director). Why the fixation on him?

    ReplyDelete
  131. I interpret the blind to mean that the former child actress was in one of the biggest movies of all time (#1) and then, at about age 13, acted in a movie (#2) directed by a permanent A+ lister who molested her. The blind does not tell us who directed film #1. It does not tell us how old she was when film #1 was made. Her "boss" on film #2 who "wanted to go over a few lines with her" would be the director. The blind does not tell us how film #2 did; it might not have been a hit at all. It was being made around 1998, and the actress was born in the mid-1980s. She got married within the last couple of years. And she never talks about film #2. Regarding film #1, I would think that the list of "biggest movies of all time" is fairly short.

Yes, SS doesn't fit this blind, although it feels like his M.O.

Why people come up with SS here? This is not a new phenomenon. There has been smoke circling him for decades on the subject.

Earlier, a brilliant point was made regarding this blind...that the abuse didn't necessarily happen on "one of the biggest movies of all time," but that the child actress had appeared in it.

The Geffen guesses are wrong. He is strictly young men and boys.

  137. Tina Majorino was in Waterworld when she was 10. I remember reading that it was one of the biggest (in terms of budget) movies ever filmed, perhaps the biggest at that time. This was 1995, so just 2 years before Cameron made Titanic.

IMDB says she made a TV movie of Alice in Wonderland in 1999. It starred at least 1 actor whom could be considered permanent A+ list perhaps, but I'm not good with the grading system tbh.

She was born in February 85, the film released in February 1999, meaning it probably shot during her 13th year. Barely a teenager.

She didn't do anything after that for 5 years, and hasn't been huge since then.

I don't know about her husband situation, and I'm not sure how specific the 2 decades part is, as the present day would be only just 20 years since filming Alice in Wonderland.

    Just my $0.02.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Could really use Himmmm’s insight on this one.

The blind does indeed leave the timeline unclear as all that can really be ascertained is that 20 years after the molestation/rapes of the (at the time) barely teen female by the A+ list “boss”, she still would wake up screaming. The line about doing things she has never done since even with her new husband infers current and either a recent marry or recent remarry, however it could also be interpreted as 2 decades after the assaults. Also, the blind doesn’t state the assaults were during filming of one of the biggest movies of all time, just that the victim was in one of the biggest movies of all time.

If they are one and the same, then Ariana Richards could work. Preproduction/filming I believe began in ‘91 and was delayed due to the hurricane that wrecked a lot of the sets built on location in Kauai and other island locations in Hawaii. She was born 9/11/79 so she would have been 12-13 during filming. Movie drops in summer ‘93 (6/11/93). “In Jurassic Park Ariana Richards played the role of Lex Murphy when she was 12. Her favorite scene was the Kitchen Scene.”. Coincidentally enough, she notably screamed and shook/shivered in various scare scenes in the movie...and looked pretty damn convincing in them in my opinion. JP and in fact all of them have been some of the biggest (grossing) movies of all time.

If Kirsten Dunst/Interview with a Vampire, well she WAS in the Spider-Man trilogy, definitely some of the biggest movie(s) (grossing) of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Re: Interview with the Vampire. Definitely big budget, big box office adaptation but wouldn’t call it one of the biggest movies of all time. Hell, I would definitely give Jumanji more credit as it was and is VERY popular and was a big hit of the time. Not one of the biggest of all time. BUT, if one separates the “biggest movies of all time” from the movie that she was assaulted on, then Dunst and Spider-Man works extremely well in that regard. Where was Interview filmed - Nawlins, ?

Natalie Portman works better than Kiera Knightley given the marriage comment, but Nat worked on all three of the prequels. Far away locales work very well too. The Professional? PotC?

How much screaming and shaking did any of them have to do besides Dunst in various scenes in Spidey trilogy and getting roasted in Interview? Still like Ariana for this best.

  144. Idk if I'm buying the Spielberg stuff. As far as I can remember he has never been part of a reveal (please correct me if I'm wrong here) and I have been reading this site since it started. I get the impression he may be part of this newer campaign to make some of these more liberal guys look bad and feed into that whole Trump crowd. I know he has been a popular guess for blinds long before the Trump crowd thing but man have the supposed Spielberg blinds become more frequent lately. I'm not saying it's not possible but with Harvey and Spacey there were at least a ton of open jokes. The only references I can think of are comments recently made by Crispin Glover who is a bit out there himself and has beef with Spielberg already. Other than that it's just all guesses from this site. Everyone else had people making comments and jokes so that it truly was an "open secret". It seems to me this is part of that whole "he's a powerful liberal Jew so he must be a pedo". Again I may be wrong but everyone talks about him so glowingly and all the child actors he worked with always say they love him. Not in a Harvey way either, in a respectful father figure way. I get that it could mean nothing and people have strange relationships with their abusers and there may be intimidation involved but idk if any of this seems to have the ring of truth. I keep an open mind and I admit I really don't want it to be true because he seems like one of the good guys. I understand we never really know people but unlike Geffen and others it just seems like Spielberg would be unlikely. We'll see.

    ReplyDelete
  145. @Unknown - Agree about SS. People have strange relationships with their abusers, but it's rather surprising that with the number of victims attributed to SS in the comments here, ALL of them would still claim they love and respect him. Also, some years ago there was a blind about a 13 yo "wild child" girl who lived with an older actor. The actor got her pregnant and then kicked her out. That girl had some powerful connections, so the actor got blacklisted in revenge, and it took him years to get any acting work again. I remember that Himmmm was 200% certain the abuser was Ryan O'Neal, and the general consensus at the time was the girl was Drew Barrymore and the powerful friend who had O'Neal blacklisted was SS. I may be wrong, but that seems like one of the most famous CDAN BIs ever (later in the comments Himmmm also outed Kirk Douglas for raping Natalie Wood) and is widely quoted in other places. Anyway, regular readers here should remember it. And yet whenever an A+ pedo blind from 2 or 3 decades ago comes up, there are always people guessing that SS abused DB. Go figure.

  155. As I read through the BI and comments over and over again, there are a few necessary qualifiers that we need to focus on:

    1) The girl is either (A) a former child/young-teen actress known for being 'in one of the biggest movies of all time', or (B) a former child actress in a major movie who ALSO had a large role in an A+ director's (or possibly a very involved A+ producer's) movie.
    2) The movie was filmed between 1993-2000, most likely around 97-98. The 'two decades' seems rather specific.
    3) The girl would have been 13-14 at the time of filming, most likely 13.
    4) The girl (at 13) would have to have a large enough speaking role in the movie to necessitate AT LEAST 1-month of on-location filming. I'd assume a lead or supporting lead role, or at least a crucial role.
    5) The character has to have well-known scenes that involve 'scream(ing) and shak(ing)'. Most likely a horror movie or a movie with terrifying/intense scenes. There aren't that many 'permanent A+' Directors (or Producers) with movies like that in the 90's.
    6) The (now) woman was most likely married in the past year. However, 'New' could mean in the past 5 years, or a 2nd/3rd husband. And I wouldn't rule out fiances (like in KD's case).

I would also think that the actress is not that famous today. The only description is 'former child actress'. If she were still relevant today, ENTY would probably say 'current A/B/C list' or 'still well-known', unless of course ENTY is trying hard to conceal her identity.

I've been searching through former child actresses married in the past year, and looking through A+ directors with movies that fit. I can't find anything yet. My best guess so far is still JP w/ Ariana Richards, but I'm still no convinced. She fits on every level of the blind perfectly, aside from not having a 'new' husband and her many smiling interviews about SS and JP (keep in mind, she is an actress).

Should we stop barking up the Spielberg tree?? I feel like the silence on him from actors/media is deafening. He is apparently the leader of the anti-harasser movement. Has he really never even made so much as an inappropriate comment to an actress? Nobody is that perfect...or maybe he's just the only saint in Hollywood.

  156. Eliza Dushku just posted that when she was 12, she was molested on the set of True Lies, by Joel Kramer, the stunt coordinator. Not only that, but she broke he ribs on set during a scene with the harrier jet. No wonder she could scream convincingly, she was justifiably scared for her life. Oimachi - That's a good find and a good possibility- I did not even think of the title and was looking at the rest of the blind for word clues. James Cameron is an A list, it it possible she has not mentioned this particular abuse.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Re: Eliza Dushku

She's not married (as far as I can tell), but Google says that she was got engaged in June 2017.

True Lies was filmed in LA and Florida. A lot of the big scenes (including that crane rescue scene) were filmed in Florida. She lived in Massachusetts at the time, a 'long way' from her home.

Also, she turned 13 in Dec 1993. True Lies filmed from August 1993 to March 1994.

Since the story of her rape seems to have just been made public last night, this seems to be a VERY strong candidate. If this is correct, then either:
    A) James Cameron also raped her, but she can't say that publicly.
    B) ENTY got bad information, and was told that one of her bosses raped her for a month during the filming of True Lies, and ENTY incorrectly assumed it was James Cameron.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Also, Eliza reportedly started abusing drugs/alcohol from the age of 14. Seems as if she could have been trying to bury something. The story of her assault (not nearly as bad as the BI seems to describe) doesn't match the BI, so it is possible there is much more to her story that she can't/won't say. I'm not saying that there is, and I feel very sorry for her terrible experiences as a child, but it's possible.

Did TMZ say they spoke with Enty to confirm this? No.
And lease stop going on other threads and saying that this BI has been solved by TMZ. What you're saying there and here is annoying and incorrect. Almost looks like you're trying to protect the A+ lister.

Either Enty got information wrong, Eliza is leaving out info on a much bigger predator, or this BI isn't Eliza Dushku.

    1. Thanks. Although there are some similarities, these stories are plain different. Unless of course enty is changing his stories enough to keep them low key. If it is about her the reveal should be soon.

  165. All I remember about True Lies is a weird strip-tease/dance by Jamie Lee Curtis, and the rest being entirely forgettable. It was the third-best grossing movie of 1994, though, and won some awards. Whether that makes it "one of the biggest movies of all time" is doubtful to me, but it was bigger than I remembered. One of the biggest 500, maybe. Doesn't look like Dushku was in anything else bigger.

  166. Linda Blair William Friedkin fit a lot of this

Blair was 13 when Exorcist was made
It is one of the biggest movies of all time
She did scream and shake in it
Friedkin has said he cast Blair in the role after asking her if she masturbates. It was in the film, but seems an odd thing to be discussing with a 12-year-old.
There are rumors Blair recently got married
I don't believe she has participated in any of the William Friedkin honors ceremonies

But . . . she has occasionally talked about the movie in interviews
The movie was not two decades ago (though you could read the blind to mean that the nightmares were two decades after the film, but that they are not necessarily happening today).

  167. Oh yes, also the words "Help me" appear on Linda Blair's skin in the film as well as the title of this post.

  171. I doubt that a stunt co-ordinator would have the power to send her 'minder' away every night. The director or producer yes but a stunt co-ordinator no. Either this not Eliza or she is not telling all. Cameron be certainly be considered A list when this movie was made, after the Terminator movies, perhaps enty is fudgeing 'one of the biggest movies of all time' True lies was one of the big at the time.
