Blind Item #10

Nothing anyone says from this movie gets anyone more excited to see it. It will probably be the biggest bomb in the career of this A+ lister. Now, the studio is even trying a co-star are dating angle which is such crap.

  4. Bigger bomb than "Mother!" ? Yikes, that IS bad.....

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yes she shows them and she showed them in Mother too.

  6. Deep State will be unhappy. This was supposed to be a major Russia-bashing entertainment propaganda exercise. It seemed a slam dunk when they cast it. Now she's toxic. Oh well!

  9. When the videos leaked of JLAW, she says her jugs are blind, and awesome. Go and watch the video its still on pornhub.

  10. I almost hope it doesn't bomb. The thought of her taking a year off to go around the country to educate our youth on her idea of corruption is terrifying. Except, I still want it to bomb.

  11. Drmuph BAD Bcuz Rusha.

haha Red Sparrow, I hope you lose many rubles!

  12. Please, Keri Russell in The Americans is the hottest Red Sparrow out there.

  13. From the US Mag review... "Jennifer Lawrence and Joel Edgerton's chemistry is colder than Moscow in January." If you can't even fake it in the movie...

  14. J-Trash Lawrence. NO ONE CARES about you anymore, ffs go away.

  15. Joel Edgerton and Ben Mendelsohn (Both from Australia) are my favorite actors. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Joel and another Aussie actor play for the same team? There is zero chance he and JLaw are a 'thing'!

I love Edgerton, too! I said a cpl weeks ago that as much as I want Joel to get his breakout performance, I won't be able to stomach JLaw enough to pay to see the movie. Once the trailer appeared, Inwas definitely out.

      Also, Hi

  17. They should have titled it "One Red Sparrow, Two Cups" then maybe someone might have gone to see it out of curiousity.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am actually waiting for her two cups, so I will watch the movie once or twice.

  19. justenough "When the videos leaked of JLAW, she says her jugs are blind, and awesome. Go and watch the video its still on pornhub."

I liked her line (paraphrasing) about how she'd never performed a certain act before, so didn't know where to put / not put her hands. I've nothing against JLAW, actually someone (friend of a relation) told me some nice things about her.

    ReplyDelete
  20. How can anyone watch a fake Russian accent and keep a straight face?

    ReplyDelete
  21. The axiom of jugs is this: When stars start showing them while they are A+, it means they are on their way out. She's already overexposed...get it? Ba dump splash!

    ReplyDelete
  22. While this blind is very likely about Jennifer Lawrence there is no way Red Sparrow will be a bigger bomb than Mother!.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If Red Sparrow bombs it is bigger than "mother" because 2 bombs in a row makes you box office poison, especially young, replaceable women. Trust that the industry wants her to fail, because they can get someone else cheaper. Hi Boo!

    ReplyDelete
  24. It can make more than Mother and still be a bigger bomb because of the budget and marketing costs.

  25. I'll wait for the real Black Widow movie and not some half assed ripoff, thankyouverymuch

  26. J Law and Joe. DM posted they're dating.

  27. Ten years ago this role would have gone to Angelina Jolie. She probably would have done a far better job. Don't grow old, Angie!

  29. I've long thought Edgerton is gay. Isn't he? Whenever anyone in Hollywood claims they are permanently single because they concentrate on their work so much, it seems to spell "gay but not closeted enough to get a beard". Maybe he changed his mind about that. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. All they have to do to sell the movie is advertise Jennifer Lawrence's Tits.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Plus I really like Egderton most of the times, but this guy has ZERO chemistry with any woman he is supposed to love on screen. Seriously. Just like Jeremy Renner.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Count,hasn't everyone seen them for free?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yes we have seen them for free. But for strictly research purposes we have to compare data from before and after. After all a mind has questions, like are they bigger now or more pointed or sagging or more rounded? And these questions can only be answered if we make a detailed observation of said JUGS.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It’s just supposed to be good, clean fun with a Natasha Fatale accent. Or as JLaw was quoted in DM...
On her new movie Red Sparrow, where she plays a Russian spy, she said: 'It's entertaining, don't put any political weight on it'.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Count they are actually selling the movie on her jugs. Just watch how many times she has said during promotions about nudity, like how comfortable she was during nude scenes, or that this movie is an attempt for her to take back control after nude leaks. Bottom line she says i m naked in the movie. Btw i am all for women expressing their strength by taking their clothes off, i hope many more actresses take note and express strength this way!

  36. When is she taking that time off to have a farm with goats or whatever? I don't hate her but her interviews are so predictable and her lack of education shows a lot. Girl needs some other hobbies, interests, skills, knowledge, depth. She's beautiful and talented so I look forward to her comeback and hope she doesn't just watch trashy tv while she's away.

    ReplyDelete
  37. JLaw needs an HBO show.

  38. Hey, DDonna, everything in the world is connected to your Alex Jones conspiracy fantasies.

    Ur sad, gurl.

  39. JLaw needs a youtube channel

  40. I got an invite to an advanced screening of Red Sparrow.

Curious to see how it turns out, although I wouldn't have seen it otherwise. And I agree, Angie would have been great in this role.

For the record, mother! was an excellent film. The fact that so many people were offended by it made me like it even more. Harkens back to Requiem for a Dream. Deeply disturbing and it stayed with me for days afterward.

  42. The new actors for the Alex Jones folks to bag on seem to be Patton Oswalt (because he is unrepentant in his scathing critiques of Reich Wing sacred cows?) and Thom Yorke.

It's like they were on stand down for a few days until new orders were issued.

  43. If you haven't already seen them, please watch these: 1. Wish You Were Here and 2. Animal Kingdom with my other fave, Ben Mendelsohn. Super excellent! Hi back. Just here in NYC for a couple of days. Then I disappear again into the wilds of New Mexico with no Internet. My choice.

  44. JLaw is a pathetic joke at this point. Brains of a root vegetable coupled with the face of bloated pufferfish Renee Zellwigger (already!). AND she willingly subjected herself to that grotesque cross between a LotR cave troll, Jabba the Hutt, and transformed Chet from Weird Science - Harvey Winestain. Just wait til THOSE videoS yes plural see the horrible light of day.

Red Sparrow is is a rip-off of la femme Nikita never mind Marvel
comics Black Widow (mid 60s in the comics IIRC), which is a rip-off itself of other lesser known 50’s and 60’s Cold War works.

  45. DDonna, you are seriously cray cray. It's truly sad to watch mental disintegration like this in real time. Get some help.

  46. Don't think I've ever seen an actress go from It Girl to Shit Girl as fast as JLaw.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The previews seem OK but I won't be going to see it because it sounds like a revamp of the Bridget Fonda movie Assassin (Point of No Return) with a Russian accent and more sex and violence.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I thought the book was very good but today it would be better suited for a 4-6 ep Amazon/Netflix/etc type of format. Standard 90-105 Hollywood film isn't going to work IMHO.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Someone mentoned "Requiem for a Dream". A great, very disturbing movie that, like "City of God", can only be seen once.

JLaw made one great movie, "Winters Bone" and there was not a boob to be seen in it.

  50. ROFL @ "One Red Sparrow, Two Cups"

  51. Amazing how actors are catapulted to stardom and then people turn on them through ubiquity (I guess). If I was her I'd go and do a college course or something totally different and be selective about movies - do 1 a year in the summer or something. When you churn the movies out then audiences can get a bit bored of you. Fassbender will run into the same thing because his face has been in umpteen movies over the last 5 to 10 years.

She's not a bad actress. She's not a great actress. She's decent, and good at times. She's just too high profile and if you are high profile then you are either loved or hated, unless you reach an older age and you become 'national treasure' or 'an icon'.

Got to get out from the glare of publicity every so often or you'll get eaten up.

  52. I think J.Law is now suffering under the weight of too high expectations.

Hollywood was desperate to have new A-listers (on par with Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, and Sandra Bullock) -- this in an age where star power no longer puts butts in seats (instead, popular characters like superheros do). So once "X-Men" and "Hunger Games" became big successes, they were quick to anoint her as the next big thing.

Thing is, she's never really shown that she can carry a movie by herself. "X-Men" and "Hunger Games" were both based on popular pre-existing material and thus had locked-in fan bases. As for her non-franchise hits, they involved large casts filled with other established stars ("Silver Linings Playbook," "American Hustle"). So it's hard to make the case that she was the driving (even a major) part of their success.

Now that her franchises are over and she's getting all these solo vehicles, people are having a chance to judge her own merits. And the fact is, while she's a strong actress, she's no Kate Winslet. It doesn't help her box office fortunes that she seems primarily interested in making unique movies with subject matter that doesn't really appeal to mass audiences.

I know conservatives angry at her outspokenness against Donald Trump will try to say people are tired of her "preaching." I know people in general who find her personality annoying will attribute it to that. But I think it has less to do with those things than the fact that she was set up pretty hard to be something that she is clearly not. A movie star.

The same thing has been done with Chris Pratt. After "Jurassic World" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" Hollywood has crowned him the next male A-lister. But let's see how he does leading movies outside of those franchises. I'm guessing the results won't be as pretty, since -- when it comes to star power -- he is nowhere on par with his past similar counterparts like Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise.

Hollywood should just stop looking to make stars already and let it happen organically. It tried it with Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Blake Lively, and Amanda Seyfried and none of those really panned out. Meanwhile, people are still lining up to see the old standbys like Denzel Washington, Sandra Bullock, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Meryl Streep.

It's gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thanks TruthSayer. That's a really interesting perspective. Now that you mention it, I can't think of one younger actor who can put asses in seats the way older stars can. The market is changing. The star power seems to be shifting to TV shows in some ways.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Washington hasn’t had a solid commercial hit since 2014. His current Oscar nomination, “Roman J Isreal”, is an honorary thanks-for-not-being-James-Franco award. Streep’s nomination this year is also perfunctory; she is listed at the very bottom of most tip sheets, as is “The Post”, which was a nod to Spielberg’s record. As for Bullock, she has a lot riding on her Ocean’s 8 film this summer. Her last hit was”Gravity” in 2012.

  55. Also, I’m pretty confident that Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling can open a picture. So can boring Mark Wahlberg.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ryan Reynolds can open his superhero movie, which has a built in draw for young men 15-34. He's not much good for anything else.

Gosling is foundering. He's directorial debut went splat and Blade Runner for Millennials was a failure. He's about to star as Neil Armstrong as a hedge bet. We'll see how that goes.

  57. I read today that red sparrow is 139 minutes long.

WHO WOULD WILLINGLY SIT THROUGH A 2 HOUR AND 20 MINUTE FILM that is this? This is not some epic tentpole. ugh.

jlaw has a habit over getting into overexposure mode and this publicity tour is no different. I think she'll become more tolerable as she ages, she turns 28 this year, hopefully she'll mellow out a bit towards being 30 but who knows. I believe her oscars are a bit tainted because of Weinstein. to me, winter's bone praise was completely earned on her own. but after that....well, it looks bad, jlaw.

    ReplyDelete
  58. All I'm seeing are very negative reviews for Red Sparrow.

    Oh JLaw...rein it in kiddo.

  59. Agree Nutty Flavor men are allowed to bomb more times at the box office before they get booted off the A or B list train - it may be international box office, some male actors do great overseas meh in the US or movies with certain male leads make more money in the post release revenue streams. I can never figure it out.

I like Michael Fassbender as an actor but other than the X Men when was his last bona fide box office hit....
