Our favorite foreign born closeted A- list pay cable actor couldn't decide whether he really wanted a beard again. Meanwhile, the unemployed actress he calls his beard has been real dating a NFL player and that is who she spent all the holidays with. Well, apparently money talks and our actor was not getting the publicity he gets when they are together, so she is dipping her toe back in the water and meeting him on his side of the ocean. The thing is though, the NFL player is still her boyfriend and on that side of the ocean too with her, so I am not sure how this is all going to play out.

Every time you post a blind about this person, trolls from Data Lounge flood his twitter screencapping this info: Gay or not, as a long long time film pro AND friend of many insiders AND student of film, there has never been a crossover romantic leading man..ever, who was out. This actor will likely not have an easy time finding work after series. Inadvertently you may be ruining his future, and he's no kid. Also. If Shatner is in any way connected to your source...no.

ReplyDelete@Kimberly Davis Luke Evans is an out of the closet leading man. I've only seen him play straight characters so I don't think his orientation is hurting him at all. On a related note, if you're not watching The Alienist on TNT, you don't know what you're missing. Great book, great series (so far.)

ReplyDeleteA childhood friend of mine dated him here in Sweden for a few years when he was in his early twenties, and like five years ago he was super drunk and hit on my married friend, without any luck. So I kind of have a hard time buying all of these blinds about him being gay.

Dracula Untold is the only Hollywood film Luke Evans has ever been the lead. I think Evans lack of straight street cred is the main reason Hollywood will not make him a leading man. Evans has the looks and talent BUT he is a semi closet case coward. Evans is reticent to talk about his homosexuality because he fears it can hurt his career. His PR people and agents tell him to play it straight. So although Evans is a homosexual he does everything in his power to appear straight.

ReplyDeleteIt gets harder the longer they leave it because of the fake relationships and lies, it's all well and good saying it will be ok but there is a lot of hateful people out there, you only have to look at any comment section when any celebrity comes out it's full of horrible comments or people who insist they don't care 12 times and why do they need to tell everyone.
It's like team sports everyone wants players to come out but look at Michael Sam all anyone focused on was his sexuality and it hurt him, we can't expect people to risk their careers to be a poster boy for us as nice as it would be and better for themselves emotionally.
Luke Evans may not talk about his sexuality but he's not hiding it, he brought his then boyfriend (maybe back together not sure) jon kortajarena to many red carpet events and there are plenty of somewhat romantic photos on Instagram of them. yes he was somewhat inconsistent about he no doubt under pressure from agents and PR but to label him a coward and a disgrace is over the top and unnecessary we all have our own journey to come out.
