Blind Item #3

It is officially being called one thing, but this foreign born B- list mostly television actress who you all know from a movie appearance died of an accidental drug overdose.

    1. Sridevi was a movie actress, not a television actress.
Emma Chambers is a better guess.

    2. She's also too big of a deal to be classified as "B-" even by Enty's wonky standards: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sridevi

Enty is usually aware of what kind of deal people are in their home countries, like he'll say, "most of you don't know her name but she's considered A+ in her country of origin", etc.

  2. Emma Chambers from Notting Hill? Agent states cause of death was natural causes

  3. If it was Emma Chambers... and that does sound about right... so sad. She was a great character actress.

  4. I'm usually doubtful when cause of death is natural causes at 53?.

  5. What movie do I know either of these 2 from?

  6. I’m just going to say I hope it’s either not true or not Emma Chambers.

  7. No she's B-. Even in the UK no-one's looked for her since Vicar of Dibley ended. Very sad though.

  8. I'm not sure about Emma Chambers on this. Her friends didn't react with shock, which would indicate that she had been ill and her death was expected. Just my thoughts. If it was something else, there will be an inquest.

    1. Or they were expecting it. 😥

  9. @ms_wonderland. The two arent mutually exclusive. She might have been on some powerful or dangerous drugs for a serious illness and sadly messed up dosages. Very sad whatever it was.

    1. Good point. Drug overdose makes you think illegal drugs but more people die from prescription drugs now.
Best to wait for the official verdict. Sad and shocking whatever the cause.

  10. What a shame. Emma had a very sweet presence in Notting Hill.

  11. Don't you be badmouthing my Alice Tinker. As my husband said, she was 400x better than Phoebe.
    RIP Emma. 💔

  12. They are saying she died of a heart attack. Which can happen while on drugs.

  14. Oh that's really sad. I loved watching her on Vicar of Dibley with Dawn French.

  15. I just gasped so loud I woke up my cat, this is tragic!

  17. Interesting that Emma Chambers hadn't worked in the last ten years... Regardless of the cause, too bad.
I found it an unusual coincidence that the "small, quirky female character" from both Four Weddinds and now Notting Hill have passed.

  19. Emma Chambers sounds about right. Heart attack is also consistent with drug use over a number of years. Shame.
