This A+ list mostly movie actress hired a couple of people to threaten a reporter in a very vile way when the reporter wrote something critical of the actress. This is another reason reporters of tabloids just kiss butt and keep their heads down and do as told by publicists.

Hiring people to intimidate the press goes a little further than calling in favors or leaning on them. Maybe some more hints in the blind next time eh?

What about Angelina? She has been getting bad press due to the Aniston divorce,and she likes to control her stories.
ReplyDeleteI remember Lainey Gossip reporting that Angelina seemingly took a major dislike to one of their red carpet correspondents(an attractive blonde) who, by all accounts, didn't have a checkered history with Angelina or a rep for being a gotcha type of journalist. There were clips of Angelina deliberately snubbing this woman. The correspondent and Lainey Gossip were amused by this, but this went down when she was trying to regroup after the Vanity Fair debacle.

Maybe I should become a critical reporter, because that wouldn't work on me.
