The Grammys are only a few days away and already there's drama. This power couple, a singer and her mogul/rapper husband, personally invited this talk show hostess (who's on their payroll) to be part of their entourage at both the Clive Davis party, the ceremony and the after parties. When organizers of the events heard about this breaking of protocol, usually the Recording Academy sends out the invites, they panicked. They barraged the couple and their PR people to disinvite their guest because of comments she made about the #MeToo movement , which someone from the husband's company is really pushing attendees at the ceremony to be supportive of. No word yet on if the talk show hostess will go or if she will skip, but I wouldn't be shocked if she stayed away.

LOL c'mon. Jay & Bey haven't been anywhere near Wendy in nearly 20 years. She trashtalks them regularly. Why the hell would they invite her to such an event & as their personal guest, no less? Mr. X's blinds continue to be extremely dubious.

ReplyDeleteStill, no way she's on Bey's payroll. (Also, while that is what got AJ his start, he doesn't do that anymore, allegedly - just to not bash the guy, who is actually kinda polite)
I don't know about this one. When Beyonce was pregnant with Blue, Wendy said some very nasty things about her. In Bey's documentary, she even had that clip play and say that it caused her to cry.
ReplyDeleteLet's look at this from another point of view: Perhaps they DID invite WW but their intentions were devious. Maybe they were going to "do her in" and the higher ups caught wind and botched it all! Yup, That's where I'm leaning. :)

Beyonce hates Wendy Williams for the nasty stuff she’s said and Beyonce is not one to forgive and forget.
ReplyDeleteIt's not that the stuff she said was nasty/mean, I think the calling her out and presenting scientific evidence so what gets to her. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it. It's damning. And even when people keep quiet because they've been shamed by people who call them "conspiracy theorists", deep down they believe what they saw. 🤷🏻♀️

ReplyDeleteMay be this was Beyonce's attempt at a publicity stunt, so people would be like oh what a forgiving person Beyonce is. She really is on another level of humanity above us all. Beyonce wasn't performing after all, so I could see her trying to create an "artificial" moment the way Kim K and Paris did on Instagram with the Yeezy modeling.
ReplyDelete@texrose that's what I said in the other thread, must have been planning a stunt but I don't think it would have received much attention. Their daughter earned them a meme, so they came out ok.
