It is getting close to rehab time for this television talk show host and I'm not sure she can wait until the show takes its next break to do it.

ReplyDeleteShe's been upfront about her Graves disease for along time. This big ol announcement all of a sudden doesn't make sense. She's talked about her bug eyes, the weight loss, thyroid issues before.

Also a lot happening in her home life. It wasn’t Long ahi that her husband’s secret life was revealed. ... all that stress plus illness plus a show. Ya she needs a break.
sometimes on her show she makes faces w/eyes like a big-eyed deer that took a Lot of drugs.

ReplyDeleteAlso, it's prossible to have both an autoimmune disorder AND a substance issue. I'm not judging anyone for either.

ReplyDeleteHi guys! I don't often comment but have been reading every day since before the Room 23/Himmmm hoopla.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to throw in there that my boyfriend has Graves, which is pretty rare as it is way more common in women, but he does get pretty much all the symptoms that Wendy has referenced if he is off his medicine or has a flare up.
HOWEVER, as many of you have pointed out, she's had Grave's a long time and would definitely know how to keep it under control unless there were outside factors throwing off her levels. She's full of it. Grave's is a super convenient cover for her as it manifests pretty much all the same symptoms as being strung out AF to the point of exhaustion.
I'm no expert, but that's my 2 cents from what I know.
Not proud but I’m an avid Wendy watcher. I have noticed the last few months her monologues seem choppy and she seems preoccupied. Her interviews are short and weird. Also Susan her producer used to play a big part of the show but something must have happened. My sister and my cousin have graves, yes it’s a real condition but they’ve never taken 3 weeks off of work for it. What do I know?

ReplyDeleteOH PLEASE. I have Graves disease, it is not life threatening when you take medication for it, it is almost always easily controlled with a pill you take every day. There are two types of Graves disease, and the one that affects the eyes is not life threatening under any circumstances. Hyperthyroidism is SUPER easy to control. She is lying about whatever it is she is suffering from. The medication that you take to control Graves disease is thyroid medication. It is the most common medication in the United States.
