This alliterate C list take anything she can get actress is probably as thirsty as Phoebe Price was back in the day. You know, that desert level thirst. She is married to an actor who had a decent run back in the day. You would never know she is married when she is working a room though. She would dump her husband in a second if the right guy came along. She is spending thousands of dollars she doesn't have each month on paps and clothes and PR to get into parties.

Actor or actress or whatever. I'd love to hear of just one name for whom that has actually worked & gotten them an income.
It doesn't strike me as a very successful or cost & time efficient strategy but what do I know?
Depends on the country, I suppose? If it has a proper "industry", then maybe they do break even. I've settled with calling acting a "bucket-list hobby", personally. And I'm okay with that.

Sometimes celebrities from the country I live in go to LA for a bit (IDK if they ever got an agent, actually) and get a seat-filler's gig at the Oscars, have their PR spin it like they were invited in the local media, and they're greeted like heroes when they return. And massive endorsement deals.
Anyway, I should stop talking about those people because every time I start talking about them here I start having a hard time posting comments on Enty's without a VPN. I think the government's block CDAN or something. Because last time I posted on the Salma Hayek thread about some diplomat's offspring in a NYC high school production and spun it like she was a BROADWAY actress, the same thing happened. Eh, fuck them all. LOL. 🤷🏻♀️

I'm not a huge fan of calling out working actors for getting whatever jobs they can to pay the bills. As long as they aren't hurting anyone, it is their livlihood. Not everyone can be an A++++ diva ya know!

ReplyDeleteI do know back about 10 years ago (before merger of SAG & AFTRA) one of the older actors got his hot hands on one of the RH contracts (I think it was RHONJ) & basically those people were *paying* to be on TV. They needed to go get endorsement gigs & give 10% of what they got paid to network. I'm sure they also had all the costs to keep looking TV worthy etc as well.
Oh and this pay for reality show TV appearance contract predates Instagram (what a scam that is for 99.99999% of people fooling around on it).
