Where I might disagree with Enty's premise is that in practice beards don't have to be all that convincing. This new beard has a "long line of boyfriends"? No problem, the singer he's with now is just so hot that she blazed the gay away.

Her reputation might be tarnished if she revealed that her relationship/marriage with Rene (about which she even wrote a book) was a lie. She may also be trying to protect her children.

The Count is right,in a way,he groomed her since age 14, she was no doubt unsure of her sexuality at the time. I doubt she thought she was going to fall for a married man.

@plot,there are many photos of Celine pregnant, even bare belly. She was huge with the twins,unlike Amal Clooney, who continued to look malnourished. Celine was famously known for over sharing pregnancy stories, and she did have the twins with her own frozen embryos that she had kept from the previous time.

Celine also comes from a large Catholic family, with the Quebecois it hard to say how they might react honestly these days...it is too bad, sad way to live your life. Franky I would think she has more money than God so just retire and live your life. I doubt she would starve if she never sold another record and she is more likely to get sympathy and new fans for coming out.

We know gay people marry straight people and people marry for reasons other than being in love all the time but millions of people can't wrap their brains around that . The focus wouldn't be on her coming out it would turn into a scandal that she was married to this man for decades and was devastated by his passing. There is too many dynamics for most people to handle
