This A+ list mostly movie actress is trying to make it a triumvirate of outings she has attempted in the past week. This time it was an A list host/producer she was trying to out while giving an interview. Her entire press tour for her new movie is her trying to get media outlets to run with an outing rather than her movie.

ReplyDeleteI heard her interviewed on Howard Stern and I didn't get the impression she was trying to out him although Howard Stern and Robin could possibly. They quoted a Playmate who they interviewed who supposedly slept next to him but said it was all platonic.

DeleteAll the trades are saying "Red Sparrow" is expected to open @$20 million, and it's about 50/50 on RT. Maybe it's not that terrible? Or is the media just trying to goose it to non-bomb status? This is kind of make or break for her, isn't it?

ReplyDeleteI saw the advanced screening of Red Sparrow and I thought it was GREAT. I really enjoyed it, and so did my girl friend that I took with me as my plus one.
It is not a sexy spy thriller like the trailer makes it seem. It is a very rough, hard R film about revenge, that just happens to be about a Russian spy.
I hope that Jlaw does not take a break from acting, because after mother! and Red Sparrow, she has really started to interest me.
My friend loved it too.

FFS another promising actor taking the wrong road. WINTER'S BONE was such a great showing. Fame is so easy to get (release the puppies, date another celebrity), respect is hard.

ReplyDeleteOh this is not a good idea. Maybe she thinks it doesn't matter since there are already rumors swirling about these people, but they aren't going to forget about how she tried to use them for publicity in a totally nonsense way. (It's not like Ryan Seacrest is a co-star in the movie and so she has to answer questions about him.) The other problem with pissing off high-powered people is that they have allies of their own that they can use against you, so you're really not just earning black marks with the few people you target. This is a very short-sighted way of handling her movie's press. She's really taking a risk that she's blackballed in the future and that people in the industry who know her secrets leak them in revenge.
