Blind Item #5

This very old A+ list legend is being sued. The thing is though, his handlers are in on the lawsuit so they can get a piece of any settlement the legend has to pay. They want every cent they can get their hands on before he dies and their control slips away.

  4. This is some weird stuff:

"While performing the first massage, Carballo claims Lee, now 95, put his hand on his genitals and began to fondle himself. Later while rubbing his quadriceps, Lee began moaning and groaning. Uncomfortable, Carballo left the massage early.

The masseuse claimed that her employer requested she perform another massage therapy session for Lee. Lee allegedly apologized, so Carballo returned, but her lawsuit states that one hour into the second massage Lee began to moan. Once again feeling uncomfortable, Carballo used her feet to massage him instead of her hands, but he allegedly moved her feet against his genitals. She promptly left."

  5. Couldn't his people hire someone who does that kind of "massage" on purpose ?

  8. Real genius Attorney there letting his client be widely quoted in the media as being aware the guy she's suing for money is "rich and famous"

  9. Good grief, he's 95. What are the odds he even knew where he was at the time? Anyone who works in a nursing home has dozens of stories like this.

  10. That masseuse is gonna lose big time. He can barely move. Money grab to stress the poor man out. Wish I were on that jury!

  11. Doesn't look like Stan Lee will have a happy ending.

  13. Just hire a hooker for God's sake!

  14. That's what I never quite get - why not hire a woman who specializes in happy endings? Or...did this masseuse actually offer those services and is not backtracking? Contracts people!

  15. I say if a 95-year-old man can still have happy feelings down there, his family should spare no expense and hire him full-time professionals. Let the man who made them all rich die happy!

  16. There's quite a few jokes about Spiderman and sticky webs available for this story.

  17. Well I say this is karma to Stan Lee. He has a pretty shady past. This is y I chose Jack Kirby (who I feel deserves more recognition) than Lee ever should.

  18. Does Stan Lee have dementia? An elderly family member had dementia and before he completely lost himself, he started acting out like this. A lot of other elderly men with the illness act like this too, according to my friend that has worked in a nursing home for years. It's not okay, not by any means, but this behavior isn't exactly uncommon. I don't think he's in his right mind anymore.

  19. @orangesoda Bingo.

People over 85% have greater than 50% rates of dementia (and if you look at the oldest old living in facilities that rate can jump to 80% or more, the new Green House Project homes have 85% dementia rates in their residents)

People with behavioral variant Fronto-Temporal Dementia can act out sexually. (Lucky for me my late father had a language variant of FTD not bvFTD & just became unintelligible but remained as prudish as he ever was).

Also sometimes what is 'sexual' in the 'well-brained' community isn't sexual at all. Exposing one's genitals can happen due to incontinence issues & the need to get wet or otherwise 'odd/uncomfortable' feeling clothing & briefs off (if they stay on too long a person can have skin breakdown, infections & pressure sores).

The judge in this case can look into whether Stan has dementia, among other things.

This lawsuit may be a blessing in disguise because this case has textbook financial elder abuse (there are 6 different kinds of elder abuse note that one of them can be the 'well brained' sexually abusing the elder though that doesn't look like it's happening here) all over it.

Family & anyone in geographic proximity (caregivers, neighbors, etc) are the usual most likely suspects. And when it rises to the level of criminality it is rarely prosecuted.

I do hope this lawsuit + the lawsuit Stan Lee has filed against Olivarez (a 'PR' dude who allegedly took a vial of Stan Lee's blood & mixed into comic book ink to make limited edition comic books) makes the judge in the case sua sponte (Latin for on his or her own initiative) AUDIT those books & figure out which of the flunkies, lackeys, minions & relatives of Stan Lee (if any) have his best interests at heart & is capable of helping Stan finish out the end of his life in a fashion Stan would have wanted to. Stan may need a guardian of some kind & my take is ZERO of the people currently around him is fit to do that job.

The circle goes round. People over 80 are usually childlike. It's to be expected. Both my parents were losing it mentally when they passed away.
