I don't think it is any coincidence that this A- list dual threat actor has been seen coming and going from the house on St. Charles the past ten days and all of the problems plaguing his now former co-star this week. Also at the house in the past two weeks has been this foreign born B+ list dual threat actress who has recently been on a hit network show. She has been a long long time mistress of one of the owners of the house.

ReplyDeleteHmmmm JG and Laurie Metcalf are the only two from the original cast who consistently worked after Roseanne. JG does TV, film,voice overs and theater so he is not hard up for cash. He will most definitely be alright financially with the show closing.

ReplyDeleteYes, it doesn't say they *became* ex-co-stars this week. It just says his former co-star is plagued with problems this week. After all, how would someone going to a house in New Orleans cause Roseanne to do what everyone expected her to do once her new show was doing well?
ReplyDeleteMakes more sense if someone went there and was overheard talking about something which got the co-star in trouble. No one had to report on Roseanne; she took care of that herself.
John Goodman is dual threat as TV/Film as others have pointed out.

As for the Voodoo side of it, well.....spirits can be summoned to influence people, especially if they've lowered their defenses via drink or drugs (like Ambien).
They're now talking about bringing back "Roseanne" on ABC without Roseanne. Would John Goodman enjoy that, I wonder? And will anybody watch?
I knew a girl that was from New Orleans. She was scrappy and streetwise. She had a friend that was approached by someone that offered that friend a short gig for, at that time, a lot of money. I think it was $200 to serve some old rich guy dinner and feed it to him. Simple, eh? Except when they walked out carrying the sterling platter, placed it down and removed the top it was a pile of human feces. No lie.

I lived in the neighborhood and my parents still do, but I don't know which house is being referenced on St. Chas/ - is it next to the Columns ?

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure it's the Elms Mansion. It's rented out for private events, and unless the rich family is the Elms family (which doesn't sound THAT rich or powerful), I'm not sure it works. This from the mansion's website:

For what it’s worth - the Saudi Royal family partnered with Ochsner Health System in New Orleans to bring Saudi’s to the US for organ transplants. Maybe they purchased property in New Orleans?

ReplyDeleteThe writing on Roseanne is Stellar! However, they do look like they are struggling. It's hard to have adult kids and grandkids on a show...lots of characters. I like it. Don't know how you would have it without Roseanne though...Did she die? Did she dump her dump? Did she win the lotto again?
