Blind Item #12

That celebrity/business person that Mr. Hedge likes to rightfully go after on a regular basis proved once again what a petty tool he can be. Apparently he felt that his engineers were having too many coffee breaks so he had all coffee machines removed. Meanwhile, our a-hole would invite the engineers to his office for meetings and his assistant would serve coffee for one in bone china to the a-hole. He would knowingly sip it in front of them just to f**k with them.

  5. I gotta be honest, I think a I would do something like that too. Keep the peons in their place and all that.

  6. Hey as long as dude is digging tunnels he gets a pass. I don't need a solar-powered self-driving rocket to Mars to know the planet's f*cked, but better subways and less street traffic would make life easier.

    1. Ppl think he is some genius. He didn't invent or build the boring machine. These things have been around for half a century. As a matter of fact he bought his used up in San Francisco where it's used for sewer projects. Hope you aren't too impatient to wait out his illusions as it only bores @ 3" per hour lol

Wonder which will be done 1st... his Mars colony or his planned tubes running throughout LA? LMFAO

    2. Boy-Wonder's genius is from an old copy from the 70's of a Popular Mechanics magazine he found in a bathhouse... he's just working his way through the pages. I think he's almost to the x-ray vision glasses in the ads at the end.

Thank God he didn't stumble across the one that had the elevator to space idea....

  8. As an Engineer I can tell you coffee is our life line.

  9. He may have taken away the coffee machines but he doesn't come off as being sophisticated enough to think to maliciously drink coffee in front of people.

  10. Bet he drinks that mega expensive coffee that’s made from cat poop, all while cackling demonically and sending yet more pictures of his musky D to Amber Heard.

  11. Weird that only happened at Tesla. I have several friends who work/worked at SpaceX and have for years. They haven't been mistreated by Musk. They think highly of him. In the first five years of business, Musk would have lunch catered in, they had anything they wanted. Once the company grew and hundreds of employees became thousands, that stopped.

    1. That’s why you know this story is horseshit.

  12. Sounds obtuse rather than malicious.

What is with this new GF named Grimes, of all things? She looks greasy, and a real step down from Amber, who ain't exactly princess material herself.

  13. All paid for with swindled taxpayer money.

  14. @plot the only thing that makes Musk the upgrade is his bank account. Not exactly the barometer. Take away the money and they're who he'd choose.

  15. who is the celebrity?

  16. Grimes better get out while she can whether elon gets her nerdy puns or not...

  17. @Unknown

Ain't that the truth. Musk gets facials and manicures so he can pose for the public. That's enough to turn me completely off. Don't get the attraction.

  18. As a computer engineer I find it unbelievable that any boss/manager of any sort could get away with taking away coffee. It's literally in every workspace in the world.

  22. Why do I feel like he's falling from grace? Tell us the reason why? It's so obvious he pissed someone/bodies off.

  23. i'd flip out...take away my coffee and i can't function..then drink some in front of the employees..what a douche bag as my kids would say.

  24. I hear space x sucks to work at and you are just a number. (one now works at my company) Employees dropping like flys.

  25. They'll have the last laugh... executives and engineers are leaving in droves from his ponzi companies.... I cant wait til this man-child has a complete public mental meltdown. Should be EPIC!

  26. @Ervin Thomson, it seems isn't a fall from grace. It's a crack in a facade.

  27. Space X is a fraud. Tesla is a front. "Elon Musk" is an actor.

If you REALLY wanted to change the world, you'd make the VW bug of electric vehicles, not some $50K+ elitist sports car.

  28. You know, they could subvert this nefarious plot of Musk's by bringing in their own coffee. It sounds crazy but it just might work. If only there was a place that would sell them a pre-brewed cup on their way to work...

  29. I'm brokenhearted about these stories since I own a Tesla, a BoringCo hat and a blowtorch. I'm thinking about auctioning off all three.

    1. Ah, I see you went full retard in the worship of the man-child.

Btw, I think he cut out the coffee because he's flat ass broke and cant afford to both build $80k toaster ovens with wheels (at a $48k loss per vehicle) AND provide free coffee... one of them had to go

    Ding!Ding!Ding We have a winner.

It sounds like cost cutting measures to me, too.

  31. The thing to remember is that SpaceX is his baby, the only one of his current operations he actually started from bare metal. He obsesses over the 'founder' title, but this is the only one he actually started, the one where he brought in his best buds from earlier days at Zip2 and to some extent from PayPal.

All the rest are stepchildren, he bought them or bought into them, usually when they were about to fail.

    1. Oh, forgot Boring

    2. Yep, but with the Boring Co... he started it technically, but just bought some old used sewer industry machinery, slapped new paint on it and spun his dream of zipping cars around LA in a 14' wide tube on a track/sled system. Only problem is, it's designed to carry the cars but not engineered to accommodate people (LMFAO once again) and only had 6 full-time employees as of 4th quarter '17... tell me again how Amazing this Co is???

    3. ... we can get your car from Santa Monica to Pasadena in 8 min... but your gonna need to catch an UBER and sit in traffic cuz it's not safe for humans in the tunnels. Oh, by the way... when you pick up the car we'll need you to pay the $30/hr parking fee @ the lot. We estimate the car will arrive 2 1/2 hrs b4 you... so that will be $50 for the tube, $90 for the parking, and $45 for the UBER...

    4. .... oh, And Thank You for your unwavering support of Me, my WHORES, my Cocaine habit and all Rainforest and starving children all across the world!!!

...Would you like to buy a Boring Co hat, while you wait for the valet ($25 + tip), for just $39.95 in the Musk gift shop and Museum?

THANK YOU FOR TRAVELING ON MUSK TROLLWAYS... Have a Great Day!

  32. Nah, he's maybe too full of himself these days but he's no clown, in my experience that's about the last thing I'd say about him.

Dynamically the Tesla cars are very good hardware, the engineering is first-rate. And Tesla as a company is reaping no more public benefits than any other EV maker; it's a level playing field and they've played well, just that all the points come off the taxpayer.

Where they fell down is in failing to understand (or being unwilling to accept) just how much work it is to build a quarter-million or more of a complex consumer product. And Elon's not good at listening to advice once he's made up his mind. They've now gone whole-hog down a high-cost way of meeting their schedule but any shot of profitability with the Model 3 is gone for the medium-term at least.

    1. He's a visionary and a damn good salesman... but where he went wrong is he didn't do the actual math before he started his projects... others have and that's why in a capitalist free market where efficiencies and practicality have to be weighed against the dreams cooked up in a child's head. EVERYTHING HE HAS EVER PROPOSED has already been discussed for decades in Popular Science/Popular Mechanics... however others realized not every dream is economical... Elons only genius is in selling losing propositions to politicians that bill the taxpayers for their folly

If you put a Mr Hedge blind into google translate it translates it to:
"I'm petty & hate people more successful than me"

F**k off, these blinds are boring. I'll write your next one for you: "Elon Musk sucks". You're welcome.

As an aside, I literally had no opinion of Musk before reading these blinds, now I kinda like him because of how irate he's made Hedge dude.

You only get haters if you're doing something right. I don't hate Mr Hedge :)

  43. Obviously this person - “Mr Hedge” is a tesla stock short seller that is trying to drum up negative news to lower the stock value.

SpaceX has an ESpresso Bar - not coffee machines. Fairly certain Tesla is the same.

Musk is a genius. Millions of haters and dumb commenters here. This guy will have the biggest impact on the way we live our lives on a daily basis for energy and transportation.
