Yes, it's certainly "gross" for his daughter and Moses to defend him, but not for Dylan and Ronan to never shut up with their mother's made up bullshit.

I think Roman Polanski is the worst because his movies are the best. He's one of the most gifted auteurs of my lifetime. Even a pop throwaway like "The Ghost" is fantastic. Imagine if he used his talents for good instead of evil, but that ship has surely sailed.
Woody Allen's movies are aging less well. He is much easier to stay away from.
The second Roman Polanski drugged and raped a 13 year old girl his value went to zero. Hopefully all that history remembers of his work are sh!tty wikipedia plot summaries.
I don't begrudge you feeling that way about Polanski nor your attitude about his films.
My attitude is that his films are an important part of our culture and as such no longer belong to him in any way. They are ours, much the same way Caravaggio's paintings are ours even though he was a terrible person. Who gives a shit about Polanski or any of the artists who were awful people. They are a minimal part of the art once it becomes a public possession.
@plot, I know what you mean, it is important to separate a creation from its creator. If we only used the work of saints we wouldn't have much of a civilization.

That's nice to think, but copyright law means the work is still the artists' creation and property.
So how do we keep enjoying the artwork, when modern consumption -> more money going to the pedophile?
