Blind Item #8

This A+ list mostly movie director was supposed to have a very big project on his plate. He will have it no longer because of an explosive claim about to be made regarding the director and a sexual assault.

  3. +1 - Tarantino and the Manson movie. Apparently Sony was already having second thoughts about the project.

RJ wrote Star Wars TLJ believing that Hillary would win. When she didn’t they did that last minute hatchet job of a horrible ending. Laura Dern was supposed to have a much larger role as well.

Michael Bay, and maybe that Ryan Reynolds Netflix movie. Or Transformers 7. Was pulled off the schedule by Paramount.

  7. Collider are saying transformers 7 has been pulled, could karma be finally catching up to bay?

  8. Having Tarantino's exploitative cartoon violence get his grimy hands on a serious crime and tragedy is sickening and abhorrent on every level.

He looks like a pig. Hope he and his crap cinema die along with Bill.

  9. LOL @ all the hate for certain actors/directors on here. Tarantino has made some great, gritty films. People dont like they way he "looks" so they dont like his movies and hate him? LOL wow....petty af

  10. You're reading a lot into the comments, Jesse. It's not his looks. These are real murders and there are surviving loved ones who should not have to see the carnage Tarantino style.

  11. Bay's an asshole but he's also an alpha, he has zero need to bully or harass women into couching for him. Not saying there isn't allegations, if you're male, have a pulse and work in show biz there will be allegations. Dudes like Tarantino, Johnson etc are low SMV weirdos. Put them around hot women and for sure they're going to act out.

  12. SS is the only one that has done things other than film, if that means television. Or does that refer to producing? I want it to be SS, but if "explosive" refers to the types of film, than it fits SS but fits Bay more.

    1. I agree with "explosive" reference. But also, he's been accused before so it must really be a big story.
Anyway, Enty always says "mostly" now, so don't read too much into that.

    2. Explosive is just a figure of speech, I don’t think it necessarily serves as a reference to Michael Bay’s films.

  13. Tarantino enabled Weinstein and the Afflecks, among others. Getting plum projects was his reward for keeping quiet.

  14. Let's be honest, Tarantino is a better writer than a director, they don't need him at the helm for the Manson movie to be good.

  15. Speaking of Weinstein Goop has been on the Stern show vomiting up that bullshit story about that one time Howard got all handsy with her and how Brad like totally threw him against a wall and then everyone clapped and gave her an Oscar for feminism. Bitch STFU. Does she really think anyone's buying this? No one expects her to fess up to how she sucked a bunch of dicks on her way up, but jumping on the pound me too bandwagon when there arel women out there who Weinstein no shit raped, is pretty fucking low.

  16. Phyllis, you could stay home, or change the channel.

There's a whole hell of a lot of crap produced I don't want to watch, or listen to, etc. So I don't.

  17. @jesserice my hatred of Tarantino has more to do with his fanboy film-making. Peckinpah lived a hard life and filmed violence as way of sad poetry to showcase how violence affects us and how brutal it truly is. Tarantino uses it because he thinks it's cool and is most concerned with fantasy. Does he have talent? Yes Has he made "some" good films? Yes.

Is he a filmmaker with depth on par with Peckinpah, Schlesinger, or even Penn?

    Absolutely not.

  18. Let's not forget that Tarantino defended Roman Polanski's drugging and rape of a 13 year old girl. He's a piece of shit:

  19. His comments on Polanski/enabling of trash like Weinstein is why I will not watch anything of his now.

  20. @vessimede barstool-Amen to your comment. That woman annoys the shit out of me. She's pathological. She's been lying so long, she believes what she's saying. But she's just so cool-cool-cool with everything. fake goop! ugh smh

  21. The Manson movie should be mothballed. At the end of the day, the director is going to end up using the killings as a source of visceral excitement, and that would be an example of exploitation that hits too close to home for many in the industry.

It's one thing to film violence between Nazis and Allied agents (Inglorious Basterds) as harmless "fantasy" fun; it's another to risk glorifying Charles Manson (Rot In Hell) and his sordid bunch of brain-dead junkies.

  22. Possibly SS or Tarrantino.

  23. Tricia´s husband.

  24. Tarantino has made some excellent films, but I can't bear to watch them anymore. "Hateful 8" is one of the most despicable films of the 21st century on so many levels.

Goopie should've kept her mouth shut. She was called "The First Lady of Miramax" for good reason. The marriage of the beast?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yes Goop was usually seen as one of Harvey's Girls, but who doesn't like the mental image of Brad Pitt going all Tyler Durden on HW?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Its Bay. Explosive and also the fact that he seems to have a track history of treating woman like shit. I am suprised its taken this long.

  27. I guess time will tell with this blind, too many potentials.
