Blind Item #11

That foreign born sounds like a north of the border letter A+ list DJ has all the receipts when it comes to a rival DJ who I have been writing about frequently this week. The rival DJ should tread very carefully because he will get well and truly burned and might end up with no career.

  3. When the Datsik scandal happened there was a lot of chatter about the Diplo stories allegedly floating around. Zedd jumping in this week vouching for it was a major red flag. I wouldn’t be surprised if some major media outlet wasn’t already prepping a Diplo exposé. He has a business empire (record label, tv deals, residencies, multiple live acts) that is extremely vulnerable

  4. I totally forgot that you weirdos pronounce z like zee, so this was very confusing at first. And I know that the Americans think we are the weirdos for pronouncing it Zed, but remember that the US is one of the only English speaking places that doesn't use "zed". Besides, aren't there enough letters in the alphabet that end with an "ee" sound?

But back to the subject at hand, Diplo has publicly been an asshole for years, and I'm particularly excited to see what goes down here. I know a girl that had been talking to him for awhile, he flew her out to see him, and then last minute he had the opportunity to end the night with a much younger girl, she wasn't down for a threesome, so he blew her off. I'm not sure why you would go to all the lengths of flying someone out to see you only to blow them off, but I guess when you have money what does it matter. And this girl was annoying, the type who just talks to hear themselves speak, but I did see them video chatting one time, so I definitely know she wasn't lying. She could be lying about why he blew her off, but it seems pretty in character to me.

He paid for a 2 way ticket for 3 days later, plus her hotel for the night so she had somewhere to get ready when she landed. Presumably, they would spend the next 3 days together, so he didn't get her hotel for longer than necessary. So after he blew her off, she ordered a bunch of stuff charged to his room, and then left the next day to explore Vegas. She came back to get her stuff that she had left with baggage in the lobby, and surprisingly was told that her room had just been paid for the next 2 nights. So yes, he's an asshole, but that was a surprisingly kind move.

  8. That’s what I wanted to know. Not like Future, who left the girl, high and dry. LOL. @mooagedaydream6

  9. @moonage, so do you also say Bed, Ced, Ded, Ged, Ped, Ted, or Ved? Or did you guys think it was fun just to f*ck up the last letter of the alphabet lol. The US is also one of the few English speaking places to drive on the correct side of the road too ;)

  10. @Brayson87, yes, thats exactly how we pronounce those letters! :P

us Canadians drive on the right/right side of the road as well :) as for the pronunciation of letters, I can't speak as to why your country decided to randomly start saying "zee" when Britain/the original English speakers have pronounced it "zed" for centuries, but its probably the same reason you took a bunch of "u"'s out of your words, and started changing words like theatre to theater. Y'all lazy!

I actually posted something to a public forum once, spelling the word "neighbour", and I had a bunch of spelling nazi's try to tell me I spelled "neighbor" wrong. And spell check uses the American dictionary, so I would guess that by the time the Gen Z's get to my age, they will have just accepted your way of spelling and that will be that, haha.

  11. "Zee" makes rhyming the alphabet song easier. It's a feature, not a bug.

  12. Expose him zedd. Nothing will ever stop if noone calls out the abusers in the industry. They rely on the silence of others. There ARE good guys in Hollywood and in the music biz. Zedd may be one of the good guys in music just like Brad Pitt is a good guy in Hollyweird. But good guys need to start speaking up against the predators and abusers. Men themselves need to draw that line in the sand.

  15. The most interesting thing about this feud is that 'Zedd' is pronounced 'Zeed.' That's news to me.
