Blind Item #15

Don't believe the words coming out of this foreign born former A+ list singer's mouth. He did, in fact, hook up with this foreign born permanent A+++ lister back in the day. The thing is though, she found him wanting and not a nice person, so dumped him. To make it seem like he was amazing, the singer has changed history to suit his needs.

  2. Well played on his part though. Who ever guessed Bryan Adams would make headlines again?

  3. I always assumed he was a gay since he's like 80, never married, and a vegan.

  4. Had to have been after that Robin Hood Prince of Thieves soundtrack come out. Guy was crushing it for a little while with that "Everything I Do, I Do It For You" song.

  11. The world's blandest, over rated "rock" star with the world's blandest over rated glamour icon. A well matched couple.

    1. Who are you talking about? Pam or Diana. Both are eternally fabulous glamour icons. Hardly bland.

  12. You guys better feel lucky you don't live in Canada. Every radio station continues to play him and every time they do all I can think is that they're only doing it to satisfy their Canadian-content quota. No other reason to play him 5x a day.

  13. I remember his song “Diana”.
Apparently, it was the “B” side to the single “Heaven”. I don’t remember that song. b
I do remember “Diana”, it was a staple on my local radio station.
“Diana-What cha doin with a guy like that....”

  14. From what I've heard, Adams is much more of a sleazy womanizer than seems to be his public perception. He was with Elle MacPherson and Gwyneth Paltrow too years back, and I believe he cheated on both.

  15. Well Diana wasn't a very nice person either so I guess they should have been good match.

  16. "she found him wanting and not a nice person"

what does this mean? "she found him wanting"? is this an enty-typo or am i just being dumb. i know what the phrase means, it just doesn't make sense in this context.

  17. To find someone wanting has a slang meaning - s/he is lacking something or doesn't measure up.

  18. I agree that Diana was no better...and for the record, BA didn't explicitly say "no" when asked whether he slept with Diana, and based on "the words coming out of his mouth" alone I assumed that of course he did.

  19. that's what I thought wanting was too. Very unsatisfied.

He made me mad when he said 20 years later "Summer of 69" was about '69/sex', not the year which is what he said for 20 years.

  20. The other thing...Diana was written in 1984, while she was still 'happily' married to Charles. Harry was born in September of 84

  23. I never did like that fucker. Hate his music too. Pisses me off he got to DIana.

  24. Wow. I recall an interview where his father refused to listen to his music and that saddened me. But didn't Lohan fall and injure herself at his apartment in England? That he is acquainted with her makes him suspect.

  25. Does anyone remember when he did that track with UK dance artist Chicane in the 90's? I was working at the time with someone who was friends with Chicane & we went to a tiny gig/press event where Bryan came on and performed the single. In my memories he had his guitar slung around his back despite not actually needing it. He looked like a little cute 2 foot tall dinosaur.

  26. In what way was Diana a horrible person? She was treated horribly by the royal family from the start. Her husband was screwing Camilla at the same time he married Diana. She did an excellent job of raising her boys. People bring up her affairs, but Charles cheated on her first. Wasn't she entitled to find someone to love who would love her back?

She wasn't perfect, but then who is?

  27. I remember a blind from a long time back. Not sure if it was here or perhaps Ted C but it was about this tool throwing markers at a group of fans who scrambled for them and chuckled when the elevator doors closed saying something like "I love it when they do that."

  28. Bryan Adams has had way too many huge hits that still get played on the radio to be former A+ list. He's permanent A+ list. And I was really surprised at how much fun he is in concert. He really engages his audience, his songs are very catchy and it is an immensely fun time.

  29. Diana, while she had some wonderful qualities, definitely had her issues (vain, insecure, needy) and seems to have been pretty difficult to live with. Her going to the press behind the royals' back, playing up the victim card, and helping Andrew Morton with an expose while she was still married to Charles shows she was not exactly helpless, but very calculating.

  30. "He made me mad when he said 20 years later "Summer of 69" was about '69/sex'"

@PotPourri: You know there is a line at the end of the song that says "Me and my baby in a 69".

He was sly about it, and it's hilarious that it made it onto the radio with that lyric and still gets played on air, but he wasn't really hiding it.

  31. C'mon this rumour has been around since she was still alive.

  32. Did not know this about B.Adams..

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, you have to be a bit daft to think he was singing about the year. He would have been 10 years old in 1969, and as Do Tell says above, he literally says "me and my baby in a 69" at the end of the song... if that wasn't a giveaway... And this song was released in a different time - he had to pretend it was about the year or he wouldn't have got the playtime that he did.

  34. As a proud canadian and one time Bryan Adams fan, I had to investigate and from what I heard (song), saw (video) and read (lyrics), they all say 'me and my baby in 69', not 'me and my baby in "a" 69'.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @GreenTea: Here's the thing. I went to one of his shows. Before he came out, there was a background with a photo of him and some model that kept changing slightly and it had the lyric, "Me and my baby in a 69".

It was more than likely edited for MTV and radio, but that *is* the lyric. Bryan Adams has said it himself.

You're right he did say it.
I only referred to the song.
      You "done told" me!

  36. The most shocking thing I learned about Bryan Adams, was that he wrote three songs for Kiss - two for the 'Creatures of the Night' album... by far their heaviest phase. I didn't see that one coming.

Also, yes, I'm convinced he's gay.
