This former model turned celebrity wife to a permanent A+ list mogul turned reality star turned celebrity has hit the baby daddy lottery a few times. The marriage lottery a few times too. Her world is about to come crashing down into financial ruin and possibly jail time for obstruction. She better hope that mogul is feeling generous.

Both Simmons and Leissner are in trouble lately. The BI probably means that Simmons is the generous mogul who might bail her out of Leissner's problems which are more grave right now.

ReplyDeleteA former Goldman Sachs Group banker is in talks with United States prosecutors to potentially plead guilty to criminal charges stemming from an alleged scheme to steal billions of dollars from a Malaysian state investment fund, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
The report on Monday (July 9) said the talks bring the fast-moving investigation closer to Goldman, which raised billions of dollars for the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) state fund.
It also comes after Malaysia's former prime minister Najib Razak, who founded the fund and lost his re-election bid earlier this year, was charged with abuse of power and criminal breach of trust in relation to SRC International, a former 1MDB unit.

ReplyDeleteNo that’s not money laundering. The money would have to come through an illegal source, like drug funds or money from sanctioned Russian oligarchs. The money would then be “cleaned” through a legitimate business ( used car lots, Trump real estate, dry cleaners - old favorites) and returned to the initial owners of the money for a large cut.

Oh! And the fine art world is now run by money launderers, almost openly.

In November 1990, Alexia Norton Jones went on a date with Russell Simmons. She recalls that they had a pleasant night out, which ended with the co-founder of Def Jam Recordings inviting her to see his new apartment in downtown Manhattan.
