Blind Items Revealed #6

July 16, 2018

This former A list "singer" from back in the day is doing things right. She knows her ability to sell tickets is limited despite everyone knowing her. She is teaming up with as many casinos as possible who have agreed to buy 50% of all her seats. No matter what, it will look like she is filling up theatres.

Paula Abdul

  1. There was a lot of debate on this one, kudos to those who got it right!

  2. I should be embarrassed by how much I loved "Straight Up", back in the day. But, alas, I am not.
Happy she is still working in any capacity.

    1. Straight Up was the jam. Nada wrong with loving it. My friends and I danced to it many nights.

    2. It wasn't that I loved the song, it was "how much" I loved it. Let's just say that haircut does not suit every head shape and leave it at that. ☺

  3. Went to her website and randomly clicked on tour dates. Oh yeah, she is playing a ton of casinos.

I think the real money in touring these days is the VIP package. $200+ for a meet & greet party and a selfie.

  4. Opposites attract was my jam. No embarrassment here.

  5. A while ago, there was a rumor Paula was "hooking up" with a married Las Vegas
    "General Casino Manager."

I know of the resort casino he's in charge of but forgot his name.

    Oh, well. Good for her.

  7. Anybody remember Cold Hearted? LOVE that song, and the video!

    1. I loved “Cold Hearted”! Along with “Rush, Rush” that had Keanu in the video, “Straight Up”, all of them!

I worked in a medical office with about a dozen women, it would be quiet, and one person would say, “c-c-c-cold hearted...” and someone else would say “sssssssnake” and within a minute, we’d all be singing little bits of it under our breath. Shit went on for years.

  8. There is a hell of a lot of money to be made playing the casino circuit these days. It's nothing like it was 30 years ago, they are legitimate theaters that get a lot of big names passing through.

  9. Absolutely no hate for her on this. Girl's gotta earn a living, and this is absolutely legit.

  10. Not her greatest fan but man what's come along since, you have reality people and things you tear off oat bars.

  11. I also own the forever your girl album on vinyl. Not ashamed.

Because fuck her, we got better things to do.

  13. Paula Abdul has always blown imo but I have to say @Brian, playing casinos 20 years ago was definitely great money even for the 80's. You had headliners like Wayne Newton, Diana Ross, Cher, Tom Jones and trust me, they weren't paid peanuts.

It's funny how everyone seems to forget that Paula Abdul was the original MV or PA I suppose since she was the first. Has everyone else forgotten the singer coming out and claiming she did all of the vocals for Paula Abdul which I can believe since she went from a cheerleader who was banging a married Jackson to a pop star overnight.
