My guess is she will win an Oscar for acting this year. The crazy thing is, she looks like she might not even be nominated by this other organization for an award because they have a secret limit on how many people of color can be nominated and they already have reached their limit even though we are just in August.

Viola Davis is a brilliant actress. That's all that matters in awards and all that should matter. It's a shame that in a way, trying to make everything so equal that we've made it a lot worse.

ReplyDeleteThis is crap. If anything people of color are now overly represented in award shows in relation to their actual % of the population and % of eligible nominees. Heck the Grammy's are around 70% black.
