Blind Item #15

Everyone just laughed nervously and nodded a lot while dealing with this permanent A+ list singer from a singing family at an event. She was so far out of it, no one had any idea what she was saying. She was in her own world and then back in the present and was making horribly off color jokes and comments to people which was really making people uncomfortable.

  1. I'd have to guess Janet Jackson, although A+ seems I dunno, high? I mean, whens the last time anyone has listened to a new Janet Jackson album?

Janet could fart on a snaredrum and the industry would hand her awards and gush over how brilliant she is, she's more famous for being Janet than as an artist now.

  9. Marie Osmond was my guess also. All that dieting making her crazy. Hey everybody have a safe and fun holiday weekend. And you Brits have a safe and fun regular weekend!

  10. Just for "I told ja so" purposes...

Actress Vanessa Marquez, who had a recurring part in the early seasons of ER, was shot by the police a few hours ago after a welfare check on her. She suffered from mental health issues. During the incident, she pointed a gun at the police, and she was shot and killed.

Marquez, in October 2017, had posted a series of tweets, accusing George Clooney of having her blacklisted after she had spoke out about sexual misconduct from the male cast of ER.

At the time, Clooney denied the allegations.

How much time before we get a blind item here accusing Clooney of having a share of responsibility in her death?

It's Marie. Dieting does not make you incoherent. Drinking does.

  12. @unknown I agree! Janet has to be who this blind is about. It is odd how the industry opens the golden gates for her. Marie was never A list was she? Ten seconds if that for Paper Roses. Were there other hits I am blocking?

    1. Hate to admit but Marie, along with her brother were A list a long time ago in the 70's early 80's

@mountain mama ~Marie Osmond was famous for her tv show in 70s; she was a country music star in the 80s, had a hit album and number one hit songs/duets; Now she's been starring with her brother in Vegas, for almost a decade. Also wrote two best selling books, has been the spokesperson for NutriSystem for years, and on the board for Miracle Childrens Network. If that's not A list, I'm not sure what is.

"How much time before we get a blind item here accusing Clooney of having a share of responsibility in her death?"

    Noted.

Surely if the deaths of Beau Biden and McCain's cancer can become the Dark Nurse of Death on CDAN, Marquez should be a piece of cake for Enty to extrapolate all kinds of things.

    @Giaa

"nothing but a bunch of lowlifes"

Not really. Celebrities have more opportunity and money to fuck up, and lots of cameras to record it, but they aren't more inclined than the general public to do so.

It's the general public's habit of turning them into gods that's the issue, then the burning disappointment of watching their idols fall, for whatever reason.

  17. @plot,I think this is the actress who may have been a source of a blind giving greater detail to her allegations on the ER set. If you read the police report on her shooting,it is going to be a big story, not just here.

    I differ slightly about celebrities.
Actors and comedians are notoriously insecure. That's also often why they're good at their job. They're more comfortable playing a part and being somebody else than themselves. Peter Sellers was an extreme case of this attitude, but many actors have self-image issues.

But I agree about opportunities. It's interesting to read biographies about some Roman emperors. Not just the really crazy ones like Nero or Caligula. The most interesting cases are people like Tiberius. Tiberius started out as a normal guy, who inherited the title. Then, he experienced absolute power and started to realize he would face no consequences, and he took advantage of it for his own enjoyment.
When you become famous, you end up living in a different world, with different rules. There are tons of people who suddenly become friendly with you. You go into a nightclub, the manager recognizes you, you don't pay for your drinks. You can hit on people much younger than you, they won't mind, because they're flirting with some celebrity, and you score much more often than the Joe Schmo you were just months ago. And, of course, you end up living mostly with other celebrities. After a while, some people regard this situation as normal, and they consider these very particular rules to be the only reality.
Some people have sick fantasies they would never try to experience during a normal life. You have millions to spend, some helpers who can buy silence from everybody involved, and some goodwill just due to your name, it can turn into an achievable scenario and a huge temptation.

  19. My first thought was Janet J but I can’t picture her standing around joking & making small talk.

@Gina Sherrad & @HeatherBee-Your guess, Marie Osmond, fits so much better.

Does anyone remember her “fainting” on Dancing With the Stars? I don’t watch it but it was everywhere @ the time.

Miss Jackson is one of the most UNDERRATED performers in my book. I can't see her making the small talk either. She doesn't seem all that social or into the Hollywood politics, and I respect her for that.
