About a decade ago, this actress was A+ list in her corner of the entertainment world. At that point, she rebuffed this disgraced producer and he got his revenge by releasing a series of pictures that would rock the world. Apparently all is forgiven or she got a nice big check because she did a huge favor for the producer and his family.

More talk of creepy Kate Capshaw's coven would be good. There is a network of evil women just as bad as the men, but so far they've mostly skated. The lack of coverage of the ongoing Weinstein trial, and how Asia Argento's name is being left out of it as his lawyers tear her claims to shreds, is yet another sign this whole thing was concocted.
I always rather liked the theory that the fappening wasn't hacking many cloud accounts but rather a singular hack of Weinstein's personal stash.

ReplyDeleteThe female celebrities didn't necessarily store naked pictures on their cellphone. The hackers didn't have physical access to the actual phones. They were sending this stuff to their boyfriend or companion, especially when they had to spend months apart because they had to shoot a project in Georgia or Canada, then deleted it from their phone. Either they had a copy created on the cloud (usually with iCloud) that wasn't deleted at the same time they did this on their phone, or the hackers actually hacked into the account of their significant other.
Celebrities had usually created their iCloud account long ago, along with security questions ("What is your mother's maiden name? What was the name of the street where you grew up?", etc.) that ended up to be public knowledge years later when they became stars and there was so much interest in them. They didn't think about changing them. And their partners didn't see any reason to be targeted, so they didn't suspect anything when there was some phishing attempt on their account.
There were at least two single guys, now in jail, who were obsessed with celebrities, minor or major, and managed to collect the content of dozens of accounts. They started from personal e-mail addresses, then sent requests to the hosts and fake e-mails, which sometimes gave them access to the full login and password. They would download everything in bulk, then trade it weeks later on some private boards in exchange for bitcoins. Then, collectors would try to get all the sets, with some inside trading, until some disgruntled guy who had been promised a great set of so-or-so through a trade, was disappointed, and started to post his collection on some more public boards, so the values of these sets would drop to nothing, for everybody playing this game.
There's also no reason to suspect that the Lawrence or Hudgens leaks came from some targeted operation mandated by Weinstein, especially as Weinstein doesn't look to be very savvy with high-tech (the guy's mind is stuck in the Stone Age). It's just that, for guys in their twenties, women like Hudgens (High School Musical), Lawrence or particularly Emma Watson were often their first celebrity crushes when they were teenagers, hence the disproportionate interest in them.
People are 'punishing' Marchesa bc it is alleged everywhere Weinstein's wife knew and looked the other way I am sure this is true. If insiders in Hollywood all knew she really got to whiff of it. She was complicit. Plus with Weinstein disgraced Marchesa's profit is a viable source for him to access for legal fees, for the future, etc. It is HIS income as well.
