This former A+ list mostly movie actor has now dropped to B list. He is an Academy Award winner/nominee which was not all that long ago. He has spent most of the tens of millions of dollars he earned and lives role to role at this point. The roles don't pay what they used to though and he has an entirely different kind of look for which there is not much demand.

ReplyDeleteI get the feeling Steve likes a quieter life - he frequents the same small bagel shops in his neighborhood etc/doesn't get flashy residences here etc. His son also has is own career so he's not losing money supporting children like many celebs.

ReplyDeleteI'll go with Viggo Mortensen. He was on top of the world with Lord of the Rings, and was nominated just last year or so for Captain Fantastic. There was a photo of him in the DM yesterday with grey hair and a belly. It's a different look compared to the Aragorn style that put him on the map.

ReplyDeleteDepp doesn't look "gross" nor has he won an academy award because he doesn't believe acting should be treated as a competition therefore won't give out "favours" to Academy voters. The Oscars are a con. The winners, literally, bought their award. The only exception being the odd token actor who wins for political reasons.

Johnny Depp was nominated for 3 Oscars from 2004-2008. When Enturd writes "winner/nominee", he means nominee/possibly winner. Of course a person who has some marginal handle on the English language would convey that as "winner AND/OR nominee".

Nicholas Cage was NEVER A+ and hasn't ever seen a script he wont do. I think 50% of all movies on Netflix now star Cage and they are all unwatchable garbage (that's why I cancelled Netflix)
Nic Cage was the biggest actor around in the 90s. Most definitely A+. Very few during that time even came close. You must be a yungin'

Rourke never made a ton of money.

Same with Buscemi.
I don't see Vigo going crazy with his money. He is a pretty down to earth family kind of guy.
I guess I would guess Depp. Loser city is his last stop, followed shortly by death.
Mickey Rourke was huge when 9 1/2 Weeks was released though.

ReplyDeleteDepp may not be the answer but he does look like shit. He looks like a fucking alcoholic drug addict and no man of his age looks good when that is what they are. Just like Ben Affleck, who is at least seeking treatment. Both of them just dirty messes as far as their looks go. I hope this gets revealed as there are multiple guesses based on how you read the blind. I mean tens of millions multiplied by ten absolutely can be Depp and Cage certainly tens of millions times several. Happy start to the long weekend to all.

ReplyDeleteIm on the Adrian Brody train. The Afghan Hound definitely has a unique look that did well with certain movies but doesn't translate well for every day. I don't read the blind as "his looks have changed" but more as, "he has a unique look that isn't everyone's cup of tea."
