This former almost A- list mostly movie actress is doubling down on comments she made last year. The reason? She has no problems with casting couches and thinks it is a way to move ahead of others who won't casting couch. She thinks people who complain about it are just jealous of those who have done it and landed parts.

ReplyDeleteWhat Lindsay fails to understand is that you might be willing to have sex or give blowjobs for parts, but if you are expensive to insure on a film set, they're going to go with someone else, even someone who wouldn't blow them. Once Lindsay became such a messy trainwreck, no studio wanted to pay the cost to insure her on a film set. She was too much of a risk. That's why she lost her career and her trying to say people should just do the casting couch is so misguided and silly. As if her career at this point is anything to aspire to. Girlfriend has to resort to bad reality shows, yachting, and the Russians to get financing.

ReplyDeleteI beg to differ. Hollywood is in the business of making liberal propaganda. Most films don't make a nickel. My guess is they only make money selling trinkets and laundering money, with prostitution and drugs as side gigs.
I think some of these women had the mistaken idea that ALL they had to do was be the right guy's sex toy and they'd be an A-lister. No. The couch will get you noticed, it will get you in the door in front of the women who don't want to go there, but you're not going to be a big star unless you already had the talent and work ethic and look to go with it.

Actors should be cast based on their acting abilities and suitability to play the character.
