A month before she even went on tour I told you to not waste your money to go see this former A list singer/federal inmate. I didn't even think the tour would go the distance, but I was sure, most nights people would leave angry and frustrated and wanting their money back. The result? People are frustrated and want their money back and for the singer to come to the show with at least more coherence than a late stage Amy Winehouse concert. These shows are a disaster.

She put on a stellar show in Chicago at the Pitchfork Festival. Only 23 minutes late, and the reviews were tremendous.

Saw her at Jones Beach in NY on the 18th and she slayed, I guess I got lucky!

ReplyDeleteSeems like she’s lost her mind a bit, not sure what exactly. There was a tax evasion mishegaas some time back. I just remember this pic of her with clownish makeup and has mainly stopped caring. Probably drugs
DeleteI had to cover 'His Eye is on the Sparrow' for a funeral, and saw she had done one. Looked it up thinking I'd hear a fresh take, and was disappointed. Still prefer the older ladies. Mahaliah Jackson - even Ethel Waters.
