Blind Items Revealed #5

February 26, 2018

This foreign born director probably reached A- list in his career. He also did many other things in media, including writing for newspapers and magazines, but is probably best known for directing. He liked to present one face in public, but when making movies, is probably in the top 5 most evil directors when it came to working with women. It has been said that he would only agree to take on a movie if there was a rape scene, preferably more than one. The rape scenes were as graphic and as violent as he could get past censors. What he couldn't get past censors was even worse. He is remembered for one franchise in particular where the rapes were generally gang rapes. The actresses who filmed them never worked again. The scenes often involved beatings and knives and the director encouraged the actors to make everything as realistic as possible. Instead of multiple takes of a scene he would try and do it all in one scene which would often last 30-45 minutes of which he would use 2 or 3 minutes. The actresses were generally cast based on their willingness to sleep with the director where he would tell them how bad they were in bed and degrading them as much as possible. In the second film in the famous franchise he yelled at the actors raping the woman for not being violent enough and personally went up to the actress and punched her in the face saying something to the effect of that is how it's done. The lead actor in all these movies never said anything. He had his own kink involving teen Asian girls so was not going to say anything about rape scenes, especially since he was not one of the rapists and really never had feelings one way or the other for most of his female co-stars including his long time wife.

  1. You're not allowed to mention Golan Globus, you anti-Semitic goy scum

  2. Winner died in 2013, another London grave to piss on.

  3. So does that make Goldblum one of the actual rapists ?

  4. So I guess you are only talking about the day player actresses huh Enty? Because most of the cast listed actresses continued to work. Hope Lange, Deborah Raffin, Sirtis, Dana Barron, etc.

    1. Deborah Raffin did talk about having been raped, but I don't remember if she shared details. She said it changed her life forever

  5. @Unknown, yeah, Marina Sirtis has talked about how scummy it was on that shoot, like Winner not letting her have a blanket to cover up with between takes. But if it was as bad as this blind describes, she hasn't told the whole story yet. I'd like to ask her: Why? What did you want so badly that you stuck it out? And a followup: Did you get it? Was playing Counselor Troi and then signing autographs for nerds for the rest of your life worth it?

I watched a documentary on the film Lifeforce, which Cannon films spent a ton of money on. They were trying to take a step up from their usual schlock, but it got killed by competition at the box office. It said Menahem Golan demanded that the lead actress be nude for the entire thing. Gee, you don't say. Of course, they found an actress willing to do it, an incredibly hot French dancer.

  6. If I remember Lange's character, the mom, gets murdered, but then they rape the daughter...

  7. And the girl was mocked relentlessly but turns out to be a fine actress...

  8. That profession just attracts a lot of power-hungry sickos.

Some of them aren’t even good at it. πŸ–•πŸΌπŸ–•πŸΌ

  9. Charming. I can see the allure of a Hollywood acting "career."

  10. He sounds like a real POS, and a quick google of him proves that he was. Countess actresses have spoken out about him (after he died of course!)

Interesting that he didn't get married until he was 76! Probably needed a live in nurse and didn't want to have to pay for one.

  11. Beware child raping muslims in Europe who groom and rape underage girls because their dead paedophile prophet loved fucking little girls.

  12. This makes Mel Gibson's new Death Wish even more disgusting than it already was.

Jill Ireland left the wonderful David McCallum for this? Bad choice.

  13. Not Mel Gibson, Mooshki. That's the second bit of misinformation I've seen from you today.

"Death Wish" starred Bruce Willis and was directed by the "Hostel" guy, whose name escapes me at the moment because I hate him so much. Ah. Eli Roth. Horrible, misanthropic "auteur." Once said he hopes kids see his "Green Inferno" movie and it traumatizes them for the rest of their life.

Michael Winner was a pretty good director, unfortunately. I only saw the first "Death Wish" movie, but it's effective. "The Big Sleep" remake isn't as good as Bogie/Bacall (nothing is, one of my all-time favorites!!!), and "The Mechanic" is really good, too, with a fantastic final minutes.

It's sick that people get off on things like this. Sicker still that it not only seems tolerated, but encouraged. Like the people with money want perverts making "art."

  14. Rome was decorated with pornography, it's not art, just their own depravity seeping out the edges of their civil facades.

  15. Michael winner's neighbour was... Jimmy page! They got really well. Jimmy did the soundtrack for one of those death wish films, I think.

  16. Mooshki isn't tall enough for this ride, and it's not a very high bar.

  17. @brayson87

My buddy is always going to London and doing London walking tours.

Now a walking tour of "London graves to piss on" might have me lift my personal ban on air travel and go over.

  18. @Mooshki - Some time ago, I mentioned David McCallum to my elderly mum (in relation to watching NCIS) and she exclaimed 'I'm not watching that wife-beater! So maybe he beat Jill Ireland and that is why she left him. Shame. I had a big crush on him as Ilya Curiakin back in the day, he was so handsome.

  19. I was always of the opinion while watching the Death Wish films that the rape scenes were quite unsettling and almost too real.

  20. Golan Globus Productions was all the rage back in the early to mid eighties.
They always had a film in production.

I stopped by their offices to drop off a resume to get work one time. A guy I new from working on another film rode the elevator up to their offices with me.

In the elevator, he convinced me to NOT work for them.

He said he hadn't been paid in two pay cycles. He said he was just hanging around to get the check he was owed before bolting for another job.

We both ended up working for Cinnabar (Is that still around?) building TV Show/Film sets!

  21. Wasn't he married to a model/actress of some repute. Must google.

  22. So weird to me that just because some anonymous douche on the Internet says something, people gobble it up like the gospel truth. Sounds like a bunch of malarkey to me.

    1. Back in the day, word was all about how much Bronson loved his wife and how devoted to her he was (Jill Ireland). He spent years helping her through her cancer treatments.

  23. Eli Roth's Green Inferno was hated by some just because it ridicules campus social justice activists. I guess that's the definition of 'misanthropic' if you're a social justice fanatic.

  25. WOAH! when the hell did mooshki come back?!

  26. Just to show Michael Winner in a surprising light, here he is sticking up for a pair of lesbians against an arsehole UK TV presenter (and yes, Littlejohn was an arsehole)...

  28. We have a Cinnabar movie theater here in Charlotte. Is that the same company?

  29. I watched a documentary on the film Lifeforce, which Cannon films spent a ton of money on.

Jesus, they made a documentary about Lifeforce, of all the movies they could do a "making of" about? That's pretty sad.

Of course, I was working as an usher at the time it came out (1985) and the movie had an ingenious trailer: the camera showed earth, as seen from space, and then it pulls out slowly and we see a giant, godlike eye watching the planet.... Of course, none of that appeared in the final film. It was just a tease.

The naked French girl was Mathilda May.

  30. Also, to get back on topic, Death Wish, which my friends and I described as Rush Limbaugh: The Movie back in the 90s, is actually full of suck. It is poorly directed and even the minor characters over-deliver their lines.

As for Bronson and his "Asian kink"— Bronson made a movie about men stalking underage teens called Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects. The film apparently had a Japanese angle to it, which explains a lot, because in Japan, the age of consent is 13... and age of consent laws were not even in existence in Japan until 1992. This according to a friend who lived there in the early '00s. I'm reasonably sure that Bronson's need to make a movie like this burned a lot of bridges for him in Hollywood.
