If you look at it superficially it doesn't make much sense that a foreign born permanent A+ list designer would be collaborating with someone young enough to be grandchild. When you look deeper though and learn that a relative of the youngster knows all about the designer raping a teen model multiple times during a coke fueled weekend back in the day, but keeping it all secret, then the partnership makes more sense.

ReplyDeleteIf Kaia has an eating disorder, I don't know how much her parents can help other than getting her into therapy, unless her doctor insists she be hospitalized. Kaia has contractual obligations as well, so just pulling her out of modeling is probably not an option.
Cindy changed when she got together with Rande. He's extremely cut-throat when it comes to money and business, so of course he's going to see the monetizing of his daughter as a good thing - get it while she can.

ReplyDeleteI don't think she was a great model, actually, just happened to be in the right place at the right time with the right look. Of course, that could be said of any model, but I never liked Cindy's spreads or her ad work or her runway. It lacked character. There was something blank about her.
Kaia has a short waisted, chunky, torso which she tries all kinds of fashion tricks to cover. That might be one of the reasons Kaia has an ED - she perceives huge imperfections in her body based on the model ideal she was raised with. Lord she looks awful.
