The chapter on how they started a label only for Irish bands, signed them to non-competes, then made sure all of them failed so U2 would be the only Irish band to make it internationally, was an eye-opener.
The one about the huge shopping mall and skyscraper they tried to get built in Dublin was another.

Anybody see a show on the History Channel called "The Last Pope?" (The question mark is part of the title.) Some very interesting stuff!
Bono is a cunt, universally despised by his own, that nasty u2 tower is still being built, although they ran out of money for it, ugly eyesore, and we let the pope know how pissed off we are with the bs that went on here in Ireland when fuck all of us went out to see him in the park. Never got into U2. It seems like the roman catholic church is in serious trouble. However for the rest of us who follow the way - no systematic abuse, but systematic compassion.
