DeleteJennifer Garner is no innocent victim. She's an opportunist. She used her first husband and dropped him for her Co star as soon as she got Alias. Then, she dropped him as soon as she got her hooks in Affleck.

ReplyDeleteAgree completely. Are any of Ben's chippies raising his children, living with his disordered personality, keeping him focused on his profession and accomplishments rather than gambling, supporting his sobriety or driving his ass back to rehab?

Okay then, Jen deserves a lot of slack here. She has paid her dues (even though her latest film is terrible by any measure.)

If Doormat Garner would put as much effort into her acting career as she does into these media manipulations, she might actually still HAVE a viable acting career. She knows that she'll never get anything better or higher on the ladder than drunk cheat Ben Affleck, which is precisely why they are still married to this day! Forever his ashes, bless her heart.

ReplyDeleteShe’s been trying to help her kid’s father get sober. But at this point, I think it’s a lost cause. He’s not committed to his sobriety, and there’s always going to be another Shookus, Shauna, or Nanny. She should finalize the divorce, with her getting sole legal and physical custody and him getting supervised visitation. I don’t think he even wants the kids to be honest; he always looks disengaged & bored in their presence.

I agree with your assessment of Ben around his family. He has never looked like he enjoyed a single moment with them, no connection, no bond, like something else was preoccupying his mental energies and the kids were an unwanted distraction.
Plot, Thx for your response. I thought I read that the divorce was ready to go after he finished rehab, which made me think that custody would be a major factor, depending on the outcome of rehab.
DeleteAgree on his distracted and miserable look, but disagree on the kids. Anyway, at the center of an addict is someone uncomfortable in his own skin. Put him in front of the paps with his kids (arranged by his wife) and he will look triply uncomfortable, thus miserable looking.
DeleteIn many ways, Ben became the real life Bruce Wayne, who most likely would have become an alcoholic and wasted his time and money on floozies.

I don't know what went down in her childhood; but it's a biggie. Maybe one day she will process that, instead of hiring her internet PR armies, and trying to look like "Jennifer of Arc"
