The company wasn't concerned about the well being of the actresses or what they experienced on set. In fact, they have been trying, with the help of the investigators to get the actresses to sign away any all rights to sue or discuss anything that went on during productions.

ReplyDeleteI grew up watching The Amanda Show and All That - Amanda is hilarious, talented and was horribly, horribly taken advantage of. She deserves justice, and I fervently hope she knows we all want the best for her.

He was banned from several sets in the past, had lawsuits about abuse that settled and owns the rights to Star is Born which he is getting a credit for. So perhaps he did something on that set again. Maybe Lady Gaga for the person wanting to speak out.

I don't think she's ever going to tell anything, and whatever she DOES say won't be believed because she certifiably craycray. And her psych history will most certainly be used against her by the opposition.

ReplyDeleteShe posted a selfie on Twitter 3 days ago. She looks fairly normal and happy. There isn't much she can do about the unfortunate plastic surgery, but if she wanted a normal and happy life I am pretty sure she could have one. Here is hoping telling her story will help her get out of that rat's maze, but they always seem to stay trapped in silence in the hopes that they can make a comeback.

ReplyDeleteIt might turn out that some of the people who Dan Shneider did something to are people we don't expect, and some of the people it was assumed he did things to he did not. Hopefully people will be able to handle those twists w/ some level of decency is all I'm going to say. Prolly not though.

ReplyDeleteThe issue isn't about NDAs but liability. You receive "a few bucks" and sign away your claims against the company. A related NDA doesn't protect the molester from criminal charges and it would appear that the company fully expects this to become public. What they are doing is minimizing the liability. They would rather settle with ninety five girls upfront for $10K each and be sued for millions by five girls than be sued by a hundred girls each seeking millions.
