Blind Item #10

It was doomed from the start. It was doomed before it began. Neither person wanted to do the episode of the show. Both of them were basically forced to do it by their respective teams. The probable permanent A list talk show host and the permanent A list comic. They hate each other. They only talked when forced. There will never be a second episode. They may never speak again forever.

  1. No idea, but just reading the first sentence, I thought this was about "The Connors".

    1. MeMyself, I think you got it...

Alec is not shy about his true feelings, and Colbert would have repeat guests on his show...

    2. Alec Baldwin would be described as an A list actor, not a comic.

  7. I think Tricia got it. Ellen was on comedians in cars this season.

  8. Marc Maron and Jay Leno?

  9. I like Tricia's guess. Aww it kind of redeems my faith in Seinfeld, oh wait, he was dating a 17 year old when he was 38, dammit Jerry!

  10. Why would Ellen do a second episode of Comedians in Cars? Enty has hinted that Cohen and Cooper are on the outs, did they film something together?

  11. I don't think it could be Ellen DeGeneres and Jerry Seinfeld. First, why would there even be a second episode...Jerry's show isn't the kind of series that has the same guests back again. And, Ellen did have Jerry on her show earlier this year.

There are a few hints in there that may mean something. "Probable" permanent A list for the talk show host versus permanent for the comic suggests that the latter's legacy is stronger than the former's.

Also, "episode" is odd language usually reserved for...well, episodic televisions. I don't think its Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars because that really doesn't have repeat guests.

This may be a long shot, because I don't really think of him as anywhere near A list show host, but what about Joe Rogan and Roseanne Barr? She was a bit unhinged on his podcast. And he does have an episodic structure with repeat guests.

  13. It's probably meant to be Ellen and Seinfeld. Enty screws up a LOT of details.

  14. When you describe an episode as "doomed from the start," it implies that the finished episode was some kind of disaster. I've watched the Ellen episode of Comedians in Cars and there's nothing off about it. Jerry and Ellen genuinely seem to be having a good time.

Neil Patrick Harris was just on the View. Had some kind of fight with Whoopi Goldberg

  16. "It was doomed from the start. It was doomed before it began'

These are hints. I can't crack them, but both sentences could easily have been left out and nothing about this blind would have changed. Whoever cracks the 'doomed' hint, will solve the blind.

  17. I feel like it can’t be Ellen and jerry unless they did something upcoming together. They did something together in July but is there any word of them doing something?? I don’t think so.. I do like the NPH and Whoopi guess. I watched it and there was definitely some awkward tension between them... especially since he called her out for telling him when he was 15 that she’d have sex with him in 10 years. And she admitted it .. craziness idk but it seemed like he hated her

Rogan on his best day would never be called a 'talk show host", he's a podcaster. And he pushed for the Rosanne interview, he's friends with her. And yes, she was unhinged on his show, but that's how she really IS. And, they don't hate each other.

My first thought was Maher and someone.

  19. NPH and Goldberg didn't fight, but it got extremely awkward, like, something you should never say in public awkward. Apparently Goldberg told NPH when he was 15, "In ten years, I'm going to have sex with you..." NPH was the one who revealed this, he was "trying to be funny."

Goldberg didn't miss a beat though, saying she meant like "showing him the ropes" but it was still weird as hell. Then Goldberg said near the end that NPH "is a good kid" He goes, "I'm 45" then she went, "I know, I meant, I always knew..." "Knew that I was gay?" LOL
