Blind Item #14

It is not that often you hear about this A list singer/writer/producer cheating on his wife. He did this weekend though with a groupie at a concert.

  3. Legend? But he's such a beta male. Doesn't he need a note from the wife before he strays?

  4. Jay-Z.

    I kid, I kid.

  5. I've been dying to ask other's opinions on Paul Simon's new (ahem) music on SNL last weekend. Was it really that gawdawful (even taking into consideration SNL's horrible studio acoustics), or do I just not "get it"?

  6. Legend would be A+. EGOT winner. Automatic + on that one.

    ReplyDelete
  7. The bar is so low at this point that as long as it was consensual and the groupie was an adult, who GAF?

    ReplyDelete
  8. I also found his SNL performance to be pretty cringey!

  9. I would love it to be Eddie Vedder but I don't think so. He isn't known for production.

Legend is known for cheating, he cheated on everyone but Chrissie so why wouldn't he cheat ON Chrissie. Dollars on Legend...Pharrell doesnt sing.

Grohl also said to cheat a lot.

Who was playing this weekend? Anywhere?

  10. Paul Simon makes some sense. He is definitely a song WRITER....he has been married to Edie Brickhead (okay, Brickell, I really liked her one album back in like 1989) so maybe. But he is rather superannuated, and is being on SNL a "concert" He is the only one who seemed to make waves this weekend with a performance.

Grohl is known cheater, or at least it has been openly discussed here and there. Don't know if he still is.

Legend...I would be surprised if he DIDN'T cheat on Teigen based on what I have heard.

  11. Also Grohl was on this weekend, and Missouri is a place that is out of the way enough to do this...

  12. AW this makes me sad if it's Grohl.
Snoop openly cheats on his wife constantly so I doubt this is him (in this specific scenario lol). I'm guessing Legend.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Pharrell? You never really hear rumours about his marriage and they do say it’s always the quiet ones...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Simon's first song didn't do much for me, but I thought the rearrangement of Bridge Over Troubled Water, was beautiful.

  15. It's been said about Grohl a lot. It is like dude, if you want to just cheat, get divorced. Then you can screw around all you like...they want to have nice wifey at home with the kids and then have nice juicy dumb groupies too. He also drinks a lot at his shows...that came out recently.

If you are a ho, just be a ho. Don't pretend to be otherwise. It is just much easier for everyone...he does have three kids with the current wife though, one was born recently too....not nice. It is called a sex addiction as well as everything else. Too bad.

  16. Pharrell sang on two number one hits years ago, but don’t know if it’s him.

    ReplyDelete
  17. There'd be a different set of descriptives if it were Grohl. greenfrog, you're projecting quite a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Not sure about that....this has been rumored all over the place and of everyone mentioned he was the only one actually performing this weekend besides Simon. We'll see!

What I mean is I have now heard or read this on various gossip sites for years not just isolated...but it will come out.

You know...you read it here and six months, two years, 18 months later it is out and in the straight mainstream press. And some of it never comes out or isn't true but a lot is.

And exactly what "descriptives" would you use? He does write the songs, "groupies" suggests a rocker...and he has been involved in some production stuff...

But I dont bet the farm on any of it is, it is straight up schaedenfreude

Hopefully we won't have to wait months...but also some of these I think can be "revenge rumors...etc."

    ReplyDelete
  19. Unfortunately, I think you're right, greenfrog. I agree with you though. Just get a divorce.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Don’t think this is Grohl...he would get more than singer/writer/producer, even with Enty’s sometimes weird descriptions

    ReplyDelete
  21. Legend produced the Jesus Christ Superstar TV special, which is how he wound up EGOTing. So producer, yes.

    ReplyDelete
  22. We'll see what the reveal is although this is hardly the NY Times but still...

Dave Grohl just spent 700k at a bar for one night...do you see why I don't care if his dirty laundry gets aired...? You live the high life but it is not like you live a decent life in the first place... Let it crack up and you pay the price of your shit like everyone else. You are not immune because you have money. He is supposedly worth $200 million. Enough already. Us normal people learn when we lose our jobs, our spouses, get a DUI, etc....these guys just go along until they really crack out.

But maybe it is not Grohl...maybe it ain't true in the first place whomever it is about.

But rather than do all this damage just be a ho...like Affleck wants to be a ho. He wants to drink, gamble, and screw centerfolds, let him. We don't have to take him seriously...let him be cold and lonely on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Let's not be bothered.

Sorry, for me enough. I also could believe Legend, same thing has been said about him for years too.

    ReplyDelete

  23. Grohl is known to frequent strip clubs and drop big cash partying. Other than that, he's kept a lid on most of his dirty laundry, whatever that may be or not. That being said, Jordyn and the kids are on tour (just like most of the other wives and families) almost all the time. Especially now that Violet is singing back up at shows here an there.

Would never say never, though...he was pretty slutty back in the Nirvana years.

Speaking of Grohl & co..I'm seeing the Foo on Wed.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Milwaukee, right? My friend is going to that show, she’s been following the tour. If you see a tiny, tatted up purple haired 60 year old woman, that’s probably her. Have fun!

(I copied the post) It is lipstick alley....not the NY Times but that is what I remember reading. We'll see. I haven't read the other blinds...will tomorrow. This is just FYI I dont have money riding on this or anything.

Everyone says he's extremely nice, but he's just a manwhore.

    https://www.datalounge.com/thread/1...item-possibly-be-about-anyone-but-dave-grohl-

Now one thing I do remember about him is that Pat Smear was fucking his first wife Jennifer Youngblood and that's the main reason Dave and Pat had beef for years. Dave wrote about that situation a lot.

I googled Dave Grohl blind items and this came up:
    http://blindgossip.com/?p=68897
Foo Fighters fans always joke about Taylor and Dave having something going on :dead:

    I'll keep searching guys.

  26. As for wives and family on tour...there was something on like Metal Sludge or Groupie Central or one of those old sites (I'll post if I can find) when someone talked about fuc*ing Roger Daltrey when his wife and kids were two doors down...she was 18, it was 1980, it was San Diego.... she wasn't too proud...(it was first person) her comment was a "very small man" ha ha ha ha

again, written on the vast bathroom wall of the internet.

I don't like any of these people...like the music don't like them. I think they and their snootchy bootchy wives needs to face up to the fact that yes indeed, sometimes their shit does stink...

    "won't get fooled again..."

    ReplyDelete
  27. As for going to see the Foo Fighters...can I ask why? I mean, I grew up on the stuff that they said were their influences. Grohl talks about listening to the Bad Brains when recording Nevermind. I had been listening to them since 1986 I Against I and I am still listening to them. (prefer Greatest Riffs though) They never sold out. That is why I was never "grunge" because I had heard all the old SST and real hardcore that was in the nooks in crannies before that..

Or until recently I would go see Lemmy and Motorhead. My last big arena show I think forever was Rage Against the Machine and Wu Tang Clan, that is how long ago it sort of was but I do go to other size venues, other types of music. I had fun bum rushing the security guards and vaulting over the barricades into the pit...

And you can still see the Bad Brains. I am not dissing you, I just don't like the Foo Fighters. Rather see Iggy Pop or Body Count or the Bad Brains...true rock from the rock. Shit, I would rather stay home and watch Onyx and Biohazard on Youtube..well, that is me.

  32. @greenfrog Pharrell does sing. He’s released 2 solo albums and has sung on various hits he’s produced. He’s just not very good at it. I think he lipsyncs a lot because he doesn’t sound good when he tries live singing.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Greenfrog, listen to Brickell's album with Steve Martin. All the feelz.

  34. Pharrell is a closest case, this is dave G.

  35. Dahling - I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but those weren't new songs.

    I think he's just getting old (he's nearly 80!).

  36. (They were "Can't Run But" from his Rhythm of the Saints album and Bridge Over Troubled Waters...)

  37. Having a lovely conversation with yourself there, little mate?

  38. Some significant others don't consider "road head" cheating. There is nothing more relaxing after vigorous show.

  39. @ nobs: You betcha it is. I'll say hello if I see her. I'll be the only tall redheaded woman not drinking or excited about the Brewers.

@ greenfrog: Dave's ALWAYS been slutty - that's pretty common knowledge...lol. His wife was in the industry too, and I highly doubt she'd be that blind considering she'd have more access to that kind of information. Honestly, I'm not going to condemn him or anyone else living that kind of life (fame, $, access) with something because I don't agree with it, moralistically. He isn't committing any crime here, and none of know how their marriage works. There are hundreds of things much worse he COULD be doing - so cheating..? Meh. Horrific crimes are being committed by those in the entertainment industry and their "talent". Dave has set himself apart from the crowd by running his own show instead of being completely bought and sold. That's not to say he hasn't had to play the game - because NO ONE gets to be at the top without approval. So until we have something more than being bi or rumors with Taylor (which I ship the hell out of, btw) or screwing around because HE'S DAVE FUCKING GROHL, I'm not even bothered.

I was 17 when I saw the world premier of "smells like teen spirit" on MTV. I've been a Grohl Girl ever since. Their music has changed, yes. But so has their perspective on life in general. It's called "growing up"...lol. Sometimes having traumatic life experiences plays a significant role in this growth and leads us on a different path than the one we started. Either way, it undoubtedly has an effect on our creativity. I don't like all their music but I don't judge (I still haven't listened to the full Sonic Highways album).

As for why I'm seeing them tonight..? I haven't seen them since '99 and figured it was time..? No, really..My hubby and I danced at our wedding to a Foo song that WASN'T everlong and it's the one band that even my kids can agree on with us. So we're doing something as a family.

Also, I saw Body Count in '92.

  40. What about Jon Bon Jovi? His band is touring, but ot sure if they perform this weekend.

  41. Velora:

There is no reason to fight. I don't like the Foo Fighters, they aren't hard enough for me. They were always sort of milquetoast. This is not at you...I just don't like em. I liked Fugazi before Fugazi was Fugazi and they were Rites of Spring...but it doesn't really matter. You are more than entitled to your tastes, there is no problem with that.

I started with Black Flag and the Meat Puppets in 1983...the only girl in pit at the time. The Meat Puppets came on wearing only tube socks on their dicks, which was later stolen by RHCP.

All the real guys from that time are dead. Go and enjoy your concert...I would never begrudge you that, but his "life style" is gross to me. I don't mess with guys like that (I mean get emotionally or sexually involved with) because they would end up dead and I would end up in Rikers. I think DG is a poseur shitheel. But these are just musicians not arbiteurs of morality or elected officials. They are just entertainers, that is it... who cares really?

Life experience for me means I now can appreciate Coltrane...not that I now want to listen to what I consider elevator music.

I can't believe he is the top of rock and roll...if so then it really is dead, sorry. We wouldn't even know who Dave Grohl is without Cobain. But he isn't bad, just to ME not GOOD.

I know there are no more rock stars because actually taking the time to learn to play is tooooo haaaaard for people, but yuck.

I met my husband during the Orbital rave at the end of Lollapalooza 1997, took the bus home together.
