Blind Item #4

It is interesting that the members of this poor man's version of BTS were willing to talk about being beaten, but none were willing to talk about two of the members that were violently raped by male record label bosses. The rapes were so horrific that the members had to be hospitalized for almost a month.

  1. BTS is a K pop band. The blind is about The East Light. https://www.msn.com/en-my/entertainment/asianbuzz/teenage-k-pop-band-member-claims-beatings-threats-by-management-agency-staff/ar-BBOCFoE?li=BBr8Hnu

  2. This should surprise no one and is probably common for most created boy bands, anywhere in the world.

  3. Jesus Christ. The Kpop thing seems like a pretty fucking grim thing to be involved in. Suicides, rapes, molestations... I've got a few friends obsessed with this (yep, people really do like this stuff in their late twenties) so I've heard a bit about the drama surrounding the genre.

  5. That's just MK Ultra-violent. My heart hurts for anyone who wants fame that badly.

  6. If you look at a lot of the creators/managers of these boy bands they're nearly always predatory and manipulative gay guys.
Since some of these young men have to have their parents sign the contracts...what the hell are they thinking?

  7. NTC? :(

The Kpop industry is pretty scummy, those guys and girls literally sell their soul to get fame and dress nicely (with little money, they are payed with peanuts until they paid off their "training" and everything they owe to the company)

  8. That's horrible, I know very little about. Kpop, not my kind of music but. Hero by Monsta X is a catchy song and cool video! All the kids in these groups are really good dancers as well. I heard there is a lot of eating disorder in that genre.

  9. But is it necessary to call them a poor man's BTS?

  11. Kpop is the musical equivalent of an enema. The things stupid teenagers will endure to become famous! What's wrong about waiting tables? At least, it's an honest job and your boss won't probably molest you.

Unknown, how would you even know if 'a lot of the creators/managers of these boys bands are predatory and manipulative gay guys'....when South Korea is a homophobic country and very few celebrities or in positions of power are out.

And what about the abuse of females in K and J-pop, are 'a lot' of their creators/managers predatory and manipulative straight guys? All I know is that the females in general have a terrible time dealing with their weight and being made to dress up like schoolgirls.
