This A- list mostly movie actress who also does commercials all of you know wants her divorce finalized so she can finally show off her long time boyfriend. Apparently he has proposed and she said yes.
@Jimbonius maybe it is for legal reasons. While separated and undergoing a divorce you can date other people but if you become engaged or move in with them you'll get a lot less money from it - at least in some states.

The divorce was finalized in the week following Ben's vomity ride to rehab.
Yeah, Jen is smart enough not to let anyone move in or to become engaged right now. Notice how GOOP waited so long? They both were probably awarded a nice alimony package for half the time of the marriage, possibly more time. Doesn't make sense to end that money train, especially while the kids are small. It allows for greater freedom to not work if necessary.
I always feel so badly for kids in these situations. Nothing is worse than parents dating or remarrying, while you’re a kid still living in their house. Especially if the new partner has kids. It is so cruel to the kids. It can turn out ok once the kids are grown and on their own, though. I’d be too wary to bring people around my kids. Too many bad things happen. Better to keep it in your pants or go get some when the grandparents are watching them, than to risk their lives. Hope it turns out ok though.
@Astra, can't agree with you enough. In these days of split visitation, parents ought to spend their time and energy focused on their kids while they have them and save dating and relationships for those times when the other parents has them. Those kids aren't there to visit their parent's +1, they're there to visit their parent, period.
I saw Peppermint. When I went nobody was there, except for a woman wearing a hoody, baseball hat, and thick-rimmed glasses. We ended up chatting about the movie, church, how to save money on my credit card bill, her pending divorce problems, her loutish soon to be ex, etc.
Afterwards, she asked me out to Arbys, and we've been inseparable since. I'm her new BF - AMA.
